For some reason, looking at the photos online I thought that the hotel was in the countryside. I realize the photos online show Fountianbleu from the hotel but it just didn’t click for me. When I drove up and saw that the hotel is literally across the street from Chateau Fountainbleu I was sort of shocked. I had room number 5 on the second floor. It was perfect in so many ways. The bed was gorgeous as was the view looking out toward the Chateau. The mattress had very good support and the room was spotless. However, I do need to tell you there was not an elevator. Our stay was just as in a dream and we enjoyed the high quality of the hotel, the amiability of the owners and of the devoted staff. Our room, number 8, was facing the castle and furnished with two, high standard comfortable king-size beds, a large bathroom with an Italian shower, entrance with separation door and all you could expect in such prestigious hotel. That without mentioning the outstanding noise immunity provided by the double glass windows and insulation making the room surprisingly quiet. We took our breakfast at the hotel, which offers a buffet and, if you like French pastry, we highly recommend the delicious croissants and “pains-au-chocolat” absolutely delicious. We also highly appreciated the amiability of the owners and their recommendations on sites to visit and restaurants. The overall hotel is charming, very well located and there is no doubt a place we highly recommend if you visit Fontainebleau. Thanks to all, at the “Hôtel de Londres” for contributing to make our vacation...
