Tiny room, tiny window, clogged sink, carpet on the floor. Except for the person who welcomed me on my arrival and the cleaning lady, cold and haughty staff. No smile. I don't know how they can work in a hotel. It's just outrageous. Finally, if you get sick, beware. You will be coldly asked to stay in your room and not to access the common areas. If you ask to postpone a stay that has not yet started (I had 2 reservations), in order to go back home immediately, with a doctor's prescription and as the health insurance specified me by sms, Ibis Fontainebleau will say no. So, you are sick and contagious, you ask for a postponement of your stay (4 nights). Not a cancellation, a postponement. The Accor customer service (I am a Gold member) told you on the phone that you could postpone your stay, however, the Ibis Fontainebleau staff refuses and, double punishment, forbids you to access the common areas. All this with such a coldness that you feel bad. Worse, they will look at each other and smile. You will wonder what's so funny about the situation. Of course I went home, there are sanitary requirements and I am a responsible person. Travelers, I do not recommend this...
Read moreWe spent a weekend in Fontainebleau as we wanted to visit the Château.
Main positive points are the hotel’s location and it’s breakfast that, in general, is quite good in all the Ibis hotels I have been to.
But unfortunately, the experience was not very positive. Special upon arrival, no one answered the ring on the garage (a Friday at 13.30h). After 10 min with no answer I walked to reception, and I found no one there. Two young receptionists were having a break outside... When I asked about the options to park, they were extremely rude and said I could not leave the car in the door of the hotel for 10 minutes during check-in and that the hotel parking had no lift and no direct access. They said they didn’t speak English… Zero customer service attitude. Therefore, I had to speak with the reception manager, and she confirmed that I could leave the car in the door of the hotel during check-in time. Rooms are smaller than in similar category hotels and smaller compared to other Ibis hotels (I have been in many). But I knew the room sizes as it’s clearly indicated on...
Read moreHmm, I don't know what to say... We stayed at this hotel for wedding and after a trip to the alps. Upon entering we were pleasantly surprised with the fresh look of the hotel. The decor was on point, the staff amazing and the bar well stocked. We could not believe our eyes when we got to the room. It was a closet. We are not exactly big people (we are both tall but pretty much springy) and we could not was around the room. Our bags did not fit inside (we had to jump over them to access the bed) and since the shower was elevated it turned the bathroom into a puddle everytime we bathed. It was a ground floor room with no air conditioning so it was interesting to see the staff carry the trash by our window while we dried from the shower on top of the bed (no other space). The breakfasts were amazing and so was the chill environment, but when it comes to actual sleeping conditions...
