Subject: Complaint Regarding Terrible Experience at Maharaja!
Dear Management,
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the experience my party and I had at your establishment on 11 February 2024 during our visit to Chateau Fontainebleau. We had hoped to enjoy a warm and flavorful meal, seeking refuge from the cold and rainy weather. However, our expectations were sorely disappointed.
From the moment we entered, it was evident that the service would be subpar. Despite being the only patrons in the restaurant, we struggled to garner any attention from the staff, who exhibited a dismissive attitude towards our requests. This lack of attentiveness extended to the quality of the food, which was not only cold but also devoid of any discernible taste.
To compound matters, upon receiving the bill and checking my card statement, I discovered an unauthorized charge of an additional 100 Euros. When I confronted the cashier about this discrepancy, I was met with resistance and was informed that a refund was not possible. Instead, I was handed a check for the amount, a solution that was impractical as we are visiting and do not possess a French bank account.
This blatant attempt to overcharge customers and the dismissive attitude towards rectifying the error is unacceptable. It is evident that such practices are not isolated incidents but rather a reflection of systemic issues within your establishment. As a consumer, I am compelled to share my experience to caution others against patronizing your restaurant.
I implore you to take immediate action to rectify these issues and ensure that such experiences are not repeated in the future. Your reputation and integrity as a business are at stake, and it is imperative that steps are taken to restore trust and confidence among your...
Read moreI always get butter chicken because it's a dish you should not mess up ever if you want to be liked ... it was delicious and so was the lamb masala curry, flavorwise. However, the lamb was too chewy for me so eating of the meat was not the best experience. The chicken was fine. The vegetarian dishes I found to lack flavor --- I thought it would be nice to try some vegetarian things but the dish I had which was a simple vegetarian type of stew in a tomato sauce was sorely missing an element of salt and maybe something spicy would have helped. There was another vegetarian dish I can't remember but also didn't like it as much. But maybe I ought to try more traditional regional foods like Biryani. The naan is delicious --- always is!! I thought it was a bit of blasphemy to put "Laughing Cow" type of chese spread in one of the Naans and to go on marketing it in their menu but it wasn't half bad (my friend ordered it)! I do wish they would have offered some of France's finer cheeses if they wished to incorporate cheese -- otherwise a simple garlic naan is all the variation I need :P Word of advice don't go on an empty stomach as you will order way too much and not be able to finish! Also, in the evening (and probably also during the day), it is a better deal for you not to choose from the fixed price menu because it is limiting and you could probably order a la carte for less (at least at night you...
Read moreThis restaurant is a totally a trash. I would give it a zero for the rudeness of the restaurant . We just want have something light for the dinner, and we cannot eat so much at the night. The waiter insists we have to purchase the main course for each person. We already told him we cannot eat that much, it would be a waste if so. We already ordered salad, a snack and a curry. Then the waiter told us we have to order one main course for one person, and collected the plates with a very rude and unrespect attitude. This restaurant only want charge for the money and doesn’t respect customers’ willing at all. I respect the way that a restaurant make business, but I will never give a kind review for such a...
