We have stayed in Premiere Classe before and know what standards to expect, but this hotel proved to be poor by ANY standard. The smell on opening the door to the room was overwhelmingly sour, smoky and musty. On asking the reception for another room (the car park was 7/8 empty at 9pm) we were ignored. The male receptionist came to the room armed with fresh air canisters and visibly cringed when he entered the room but proceeded to spray everything in sight. He left in a very huffy mood. ||The bathroom towels were not clean as they smelled sour and were badly stained, as if someone had been gardening and half washed their hands and wiped the rest on the towels. When I went to reception to show him and ask for some clean towels I was given a very bad response, the male receptionist said 'what first a smelly room - and now dirty towels - what is wrong with you'? ||Needless to say the air sprays did not solve the problem and the bad smells very quickly resurfaced. ||My advice NEVER EVER stay at this hotel, pay a little more and stay...
Read moreHORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! NEVER STAY IN THIS HOTEL!!! (if it can still be considered as such). There was neither air conditioning nor a fan, the room was so small I felt like suffocating. Perfect for the summer time. I had for sure the worst sleep in my life there (woke up twice during the night because of the heat; I've never been happier to get up early at 6 am). It's a miracle that I was even able to fall asleep in the first place. No light functioned in the whole room, except for the one in the bathroom (which was tiny). The lock on the door didn't work and I ended spending the whole night worrying about it. There weren't many options for breakfast. The building itself was dirty, crumbling and full of spiderwebs (there were also, of course, some bugs in the room). I would never go there again even if my life...
Read moreI needed a night stop over for me and my 13 year old twin Grandchildren.||||We were on a WW1 Trip and travelling between Ypres and the Somme.||||Whilst very basic it offered exactly what we needed for the night. A stop over. Our room had three single beds arranged in one up one down bunks and a single on its own. In one corner is the toilet/shower and the other corner a desk.||||We arrived late and left early and with the doors all on the outside we didn't need to disturb anyone on our arrival or departure.||||I had pre booked but still needed to register on site as by the time we arrived the reception was closed. The machine is easy to use as it offers several languages and it promptly delivered our key card and we were sorted.||||We got what we wanted. A simple...
