Let’s say it’s not a 5 stars restaurant and I’ll explain:
On their website they mention that the open hours are from 12:00 to 14:30 and from 19:00 to 23:00 but it’s wrong the are open only from 19:00
We went there and ordered starers from me and my wife (I’ve mentioned more than once that my wife is vegetarian and don’t eat meat), we took vegetarian starters for her and non-vegetarian for me. For the main course we’ve ordered their special Carbonara for her with the black truffles (must say that in the menu are is no mention that there is ham in this meal), when she got the meal we realized that there is ham and we’ve told the nice waitress that she is vegetarian so she can’t eat it. He was very nice and told us that he’ll change the order and bring us a new one. He want to the manager and returned to us saying that he can’t do that and we can order a new meal and we’ll pay for the both. I’ve told him that’s it’s not acceptable and that they didn’t wrote in their menu that it includes ham and that he knows from the starters that she don’t eat ham and meat. And while I am explaining to the nice waitress the owner waved with his hand like ok do not listen to him and we’ll refund him for the meal. When we got the check the extra meal was still there and only when I complained again they’ve removed it
The meals was ok, but I’ve ate better Italian food
So the best thing about this place was the nice waitress and one of the...
Read moreMy husband and I are in Paris and were getting off the train by the Notre Dame and wanted pasta so with a simple search of “pasta near me” we decided to walk the ten minutes to try this place out. I am SO happy we did. We were seated right away and the service was excellent. The food… unreal!! We got the buratta with black truffle appetizer, two different pastas, and the tiramisu.
About half way through the meal we realized that the owner of the restaurant was actually the one bringing out our food and he was incredibly kind to us. It can be intimidating being an American ordering in a French restaurant and he went out of his way to chat with us. We will be visiting his other location in Italy!

Pastasuta is a small restaurant which serves only pasta. The pasta is made from scratch, and the sauces are made following proper Italian recipe.
We took the carbonara with bucatini. It was delicious. The fresh pasta makes a huge difference: it’s al dente, and just slightly chewy. The carbonara was made using strictly egg yolk, pecorino and guanciale (cured pork cheek). It’s super rare to find a restaurant in Paris which uses guanciale, and it makes a huge difference because it’s so much more flavourful and rich that just pancetta. The egg yolk made the sauce super creamy and it coated the pasta perfectly.
Overall, a very solid plate of pasta, would recommend if...
