On the second night of our stay in Paris with my mom and sister, I discovered a bed bug in my bed (yes, actual bed bug—see picture). That alone is disgusting enough, but what happened after was far worse. When I went downstairs to inform the front desk worker, instead of apologizing, his first words were: “I don’t believe you, show me the bug.” I showed him. His next question: “Was it dead or alive?” When I explained I killed it, his response was that there was “nothing he could do.” He claimed the hotel had no available rooms and only two spare blankets in the entire building—no extra pillows, no bedding, nothing. He then told me to wait by the stairs while he went to fetch blankets from the basement, refusing to even carry them up to our floor. Frustrated, I brought my mom downstairs. Shockingly, instead of showing any concern, he told her: “Maybe you brought the bed bug in.” He refused to let us speak to the manager, called my mom “unreasonable,” and continued to berate us. Not once did he apologize. The next morning, the manager finally appeared, apologized, and admitted there actually was another available room all along—the worker simply hadn’t told us. By then, our trip was already ruined. This hotel not only failed basic cleanliness standards but also treated us with complete disrespect. Between bed bugs, lies, and verbal abuse, this was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

Easy to find. Very close to supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants and public transport stops. Front desk is open 24 hours a day. The staff were helpful, and all seemed to speak English. The facilities listed when we booked included a bar, cafe and laundry on site - I didn't see a bar, I'm assuming the cafe was the coffee and tea making area (which was well stocked and free), and when we enquired at the front desk about the laundry, we were told there wasn't one. But, a quick Google search led us to a self serve laundromat 2 minutes walk away (ma pince a linge). The elevator was hilariously tiny, but reliable. The rooms were also very small, but they had everything required. It was nice having a window which fully opened onto the street. The electric shutters were amazing - we woke up at 9am and had absolutely no idea what time it was, the room was still pitch black. Plenty of power outlets, and next to the beds as well. Bed were comfortable, but we found the pillows awful - they squished down entirely and provided no support. We did hear our floor neighbours coming and going - fortunately we seemed to be surrounded by quiet people who kept 'normal' hours, but it could be a problem if you had some lots and inconsiderate people staying. Good price, in a great location for exploring the rest of the city. Walking back over multiple nights, seemed very safe.

I have stayed in this hotel on a prior trip to Paris and loved the staff, room and location BUT I have a complaint about their charging and change policies. I originally made a reservation for May 27 through May 30, 3 nights, charges were reasonable but because I needed to change from May 28 check out May 31... first I reserved May 30 to 31 at 108 euros because that is not considered a change... then I changed the arrival to May 28. the charge for the 28 through the 30 went to 144 euros nitely total $288...for 2 nights, no breakfast included...this is outrageous pricing for this category hotel...do not book this hotel if there is any possiblility that you may need to make a change, no matter how insignificant the change is. Very unfriendly policies and pricing.

I’ll start with the pros: good location, close to Moulin Rogue and surrounded by cafes and restaurants. A metro station is right outside of it. The rooms are clean and they are constantly cleaning.

Cons: you are handed just ONE physical key (not a card). So if I wanted to go out separately from my friend we had to coordinate. It’s also a pain to carry around. The stairs- we were on the fourth level and the elevator is one of those old fashioned ones where you close the door yourself and it’s tiny- two people max.

Service: twice we called down because we ran out of toilet paper (it’s industrial grade looking holders with no back up roll provided and no way to see when you’re going to run out) and both times the lady working at the front desk said she would send some and she never did. We waited over 30 minutes once before calling back and she responded it was coming and the second time we waited 10 minutes before calling again; both times she said it’s coming but it clearly wasn’t and we had to go up and down the stairs to find the cleaning crew to grab our own toilet paper.

Also, one night I was heading out to a cafe at around 10 PM and the man at the front desk put a sign on the door that said “be back soon” and had locked the door! So no one in the hotel could get out and vice versa. This is a fire hazard and extremely inconvenient. Luckily I discovered on my own another door I could unlock to leave.

The rooms are small but the two twin beds worked for me and a friend. 20 minute metro to Eiffel Tower and the...

My friend and I stayed at this hotel for a girls trip and the man who worked at the front desk was very disrespectful and extremely hostile. There was a part of the stay where we felt very unsafe and worried about our stay there. ||||On one night we had gone out, we returned around 9:30 pm to find the front lobby doors were closed shut with no way for us to enter. Admittedly, this was our first time in France and we did not know if this was customary or not. We panicked and began knocking on the doors repeatedly and calling out, for fear of being locked out all night. This mentioned man came and yelled at us, “I heard you the first time!” he continued to berate us was very hostile. This same man interrupted our breakfast in the patio the next morning when one of us was on the phone, and told us to hang up because “he was trying to work.” I have NEVER been to a hotel in a European or Asian country where they tell you this while you’re in a public space of the hotel. One would think that I was yelling, but no, I was speaking in a normal tone. It was such a rude and disrespectful intrusion . Less than 5 minutes later, the wifi was turned off and the call disconnected. We payed our money to use this wifi and it was purposely disconnected in spite. This man singled us out and approached us in a threatening manner that no hotel attendant should ever do to a guest. If I could, I’d get a refund for this place. I would never recommend for anyone to stay...

This hotel is simply perfect for whoever needs a place to stay at while visiting the city of Paris It offers nice and clean rooms (they aren’t big but if you need the hotel only to sleep and have breakfast/dinner it’s fine), a common room with tables and chairs for eating, a coffee machine with many different options and tea machines, all for free There is a small kitchen with an oven, a microwave, a water heater, cutlery, cups/mugs and dishes You can bring in your own food and eat it there The rooms are clean and tidy, with soap both for the shower and for the sink, and the beds are super comfortable The staff is one the nicest I’ve ever met: they all speak French and English, and are available for anything 24 hours a day They offer you to keep your luggage when leaving or while waiting for the room: it’s free and in a very safe room behind their reception desk Our room has been cleaned every day, and we’ve been given new towels every morning The boulangerie in front of the hotel (Passionnément Arthur) is very good and has honest prices for both savory and sweet food The hotel is near (about 3 minutes on foot) to Place de Clichy metro station (on both lines 2 and 13) and, despite its not being in the city center, it only takes about 20 minutes to reach the main places of interest The neighborhood is lively, full of different restaurants and nice spots for a coffee and safe for any...
