Brasserie Le Moncey — Restaurant in Paris

Came to paris on a short trip with my girlfriend, on are first night we came here. It was nothing short of amazing. As a somone in the food industry my self the price was amazing, and the food was brilliant, the best peppercorn sauce i have ever tasted, my girlfriend said her pasta was miles above from the other places we have been (little italy). Are waiter was an older gentleman who served us with class and the up most professionalism. Needless to say we came back, and the same great food, service and atmosphere. with an amazing rose to complement are food. They fondant was sublime and very tasty. A great place and i could not praise this place highly...

Unfortunately I had a bad experience with the service on this one. After a walk, I went for a quick stop to have a few glasses of wine and water, but the waiter refused to provide tap water. After charging me for the water, the waiter took the bottle behind the counter, filled it with tap water and capped the bottle

Edit:The owner replied gaslighting me saying his restaurant was closed for Christmas. I’ve just passed in front of their restaurant again today. I tried to attach a picture, but it violated Google’s policies. Honestly, for me that answer made the situation worse. If I could, I’d remove...

Great place. We found it staying in Paris just next door (hotel Darcet - another place to recommend) and we visited La Moncey every day. Very friendly and helpful crew speaking communicative English. The place is not overpriced regardless of fantastic location. They have good beer, cocktails and wines. And the food! We had french breakfasts, snails, frog legs (those french delicacies are not necessarily my taste), steak, burgers, omlettes and onion soup. Definitely the soup is the winner but every dish was really well-prepared and tasty. I recommend this...
