The best thing about this hotel are the staff - they were lovely and helpful. |The room we stayed in was basic but very clean and comfortable. Perfect for if you just want a base to go back to and sleep in at the end of a long day. The bathroom was a wet room with nothing separating the shower from the toilet and the sink - which was a bit odd at first but you get used to it.|The location was great - we chose this hotel partly because it’s a 2 minute walk from the Strasbourg Saint Denis metro stop from which you can travel on 3 different lines. It’s also less than a 20 minute walk to Gare du Nord for the RER to CDG. There are multiple little supermarkets within a few minutes walk from the hotel.|The only bad thing we have to say about the hotel is that the walls must be paper thin because we had some quite disrupted sleep from other guests coming back at night. We could hear every door opening and closing, footsteps, toilet flush, shower running which was quite frustrating.|Apart from that, nothing to...
Read moreThere were very few positives for me at this hotel: the shower was good, and there was a kettle and tea available if you ask for them at the reception.
My overall experience here was negative and I was glad to leave. You have to leave your keys at the reception every time you leave the hotel. Given that they did not check our IDs when we checked in, and did not ask any questions when we asked for the keys, this felt very shady. Anyone could have come in and asked for the keys to a certain room number. One member of the reception staff we had to encounter often was rude and dismissive. Terrible wifi. The place needs renovation. For example, the room numbers are on pieces of paper sellotaped to the room doors. The rooms are not cosy at all, feel more like a motel. There is no soundproofing and you can hear everything in the other rooms. The fan in the room did not work.
This hotel is passable for an overnight stay, but I'll definitely be avoiding it...
Read moreI spent 7 nights here due to a work trip. As many budget hotels in Paris, this one features very small room. This said, compared to my other travel experiences to Paris, this hotel is above average and it's good value for your money. First of all, it's very clean. As my window looked in the inner courtyard, at night my room was relatively quiet (I stayed there during a heat wave, so I had to keep the window open.) The room has no air conditioning (another common feature of cheap Paris hotels), but the staff provided me with a fan -- it helped me sleep comfortably at night despite the high temperatures. The staff was very helpful and kind. Another plus of this hotel is the location, right behind Porte de St. Martin, a few steps away from several subway lines (4, 8, and 9), and right around the corner from the Grand Boulevards. I walked to the Ile de la Cité in 20 minutes. Great area, packed with restaurants,...
