Great customer service , Sylvan (sorry if I misspelled)- a man in customer service lobby reception gave us a warm welcomed, despite our flight arrived very early - arrived in the hotel 9:10am requested an early check in and was granted with no problem . Sylvan gave us a brief summary of the hotel, the area and the map, friendly and welcoming... Toucko, houskeeping lady was nice , hardworking and always cheerful she was attentive on all what we need... people who work in breakfast buffet are so friendly and welcoming! Always happy to serve , answer questions and concern. you can tell they love their job. Hotel is still brand new! only one year-ish old , room is pretty roomy/big for Paris standards! (compared it if you stay in central Paris or in Eiffel Tower area) rooms are like a shoebox plus arm and leg prices per night - I know it because this is my third visit in Paris used to stay in central and Eiffel Tower area).... Beds and pillows on this Hilton garden in are very comfy ! Love the wood decor in the walls , bathroom is roomy , love the shower! - breakfast buffet is yummy! Lots of variety ! Now the area, lots of cafes and restaurants in the area and prices are cheaper and portions of the food is bigger! Compare to central Paris - so it's bank per buck! There are grocery store around the hotel if your prefer to do grocery, the metro station is 2-3min. easy walk- the train takes you to central Paris within 20min (11stops) to be exact ! - easy breezy... Ok the area like any big city in the world it's not perfect ... the area is not very bad at the same time not posh, swanky as you imagine about Paris ... it's a middle class working area .. as long your open minded that life is not perfect you way the positive VS the negatives and your just mind your business , in and out of the hotel go to the metro - tour around Paris and go back to the hotel - you will be fine nobody bothered us ! we just mind our business and keep moving ... our last day we decided in the morning to explore the La Villete park! (around the hotel couple of blocks walk accross the street) Ow boy it was refreshing! nice big park! like your not in Paris , great for exercise , walking and just a relaxing feel breath of fresh air somthing different from hustle and bustle Paris central - to be honest we kinda regret why we waited the last day to explore the park! (But there will be Nextime :) - overall as a Hilton Gold member and been traveling all over the world I'm satisfied of my stay and never regret this is my choice this time my third visit in Paris - will definitely stay here again on my future visit to Paris! - Merci Hilton garden inn Villette!

If you want to experience Paris, that is NOT on TV, then stay here! This place is in the hood to be straight up and I'm from America. I don't want to go on vacation and feel like I'm back in the hood. I felt safer walking in the streets of Chicago and New York at night, than in this neighborhood (and yes I've walked at night in both of those cities solo). I didn't feel that safe if I walked out after a certain hour as a solo traveling woman. I've been waiting to write this review to get my thoughts together but it has been a little over a week, so I'm going to write it from my experience. I was in Paris for a little over a week and this was the 2nd hotel that I stayed in before I left. The price was right and it appeared to be closer to the airport so I decided to stay here. The hotel itself is nice, updated, and the rooms are fairly clean. The staff was nice even though there was some miscommunication with the front desk on the hours for the on site restaurant. There is some type of metro station a few minutes away, but could possibly miss it if you don't look. It had a nice view of the riverfront however, there are a lot of transient people in the area at night. There was also a makeshift set up outside of my hotel room with what looked to be a brothel. By the time the morning came, it was gone, but I did take video and pictures. Like I said the area did not feel very safe if I left after a certain hour. I also didn't like that there were no really good restaurants to choose from in walking distance. The miscommunication from the reception was that the restaurant would open at a certain hour. However the day I stayed the restaurant was closed due to a private gathering which I didn't know until I waited an hour to come down at the time front desk told me and found out. Thankfully the staff let me order from a limited menu because I was not leaving that hotel after dark. They need to pick the hotel up and put it in a better neighborhood. Hopefully this review can provide a realistic expectation for people who are looking to stay and can't find real video online. I would not stay here again, even if it was free. I don't want to stay places where I feel like I don't want to leave the hotel due to safety.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. The second night in our hotel we found ants in our room (pictures attached). They initially blamed us for crumbs on the floor which wasn’t from us they just didn’t clean well evidently from previous guests. But if pests weren’t a problem it shouldn’t matter whether there were crumbs anyways? Housekeeping came and vacuumed up the ants but they kept coming back. There wasn’t another room available that night so we had to deal with a room with ants. I reminded them that I was a Diamond member but nothing was done..”let us relay this to the manager.” Fast forward to the next night we were able to get into a new room. I went to pull the sheets down in my daughter’s sofa bed and there was a bed bug crawling. At that point, I was about to lose it and went down to the lobby and showed the lady the video proof of the bed bug crawling (picture attached, also have a video but guess you can’t upload that) and the time stamp of the video. What does she do instead? She blames me for the bed bugs saying that their hotel has never had bed bugs. She then proceeds to double check my room saying she couldn’t find evidence of a bed bug in the trash. She then condescendingly said that she knows that I’m a Diamond member as I’ve mentioned that. She not once took responsibility but was blaming us the customers for both the ants and bed bugs. Maybe because we are American? I have never even seen a bed bug in real life. She was raising her voice, very combative, talking over me that she was right trying to protect the hotel like she was the owner or something when she is not even a manager. I was not compensated at all for any of this even though I said I don’t think it’s right that I should have to pay for a room or rooms with bugs. The third night we were moved to another room even though I would’ve preferred to just leave the hotel altogether. It was late and my daughter needed to sleep. Yes I am a Diamond member but evidently that does not mean much and the customer is always wrong at this hotel. I have never been treated so awful at a hotel. Take some responsibility for an unclean hotel instead of blaming your customers.
