Top 5 Must-Stay Hotels in Paris

Please refrain from staying at this hotel. I recently returned from a four-night stay, and a few days afterward, I discovered that some of my purchased items had been stolen. I had bought a set of earrings in Lafayette and stored them in a small container inside the room, only to find they were missing. This was very upsetting. Generally, I am not someone who writes reviews, and if I do, I prefer to be constructive rather than negative. However, I am extremely disappointed to learn that a staff member responsible for cleaning may have taken my jewelry. Such behavior is unacceptable, and it has marred our experience. Additionally, the condition of the restroom was unsatisfactory. The shower handle does not stay in place, causing the water to flow toward the direction of the wall, making it difficult to shower comfortably without holding the handle manually. The bathtub is too high with no proper support, making it dangerous, slippery, and difficult for anyone with mobility issues, knee problems, elderly guests, or those with disabilities to enter and exit safely. The absence of a support and the limited glass coverage around the bathtub contribute to an overall uncomfortable and poorly maintained environment. While the front desk staff and breakfast service were friendly and kind, friendly service alone is not enough to ensure a good stay. In conclusion, I cannot recommend this hotel. If you choose to stay here, please be vigilant with your belongings, as there is a risk of theft, especially by those responsible for cleaning.

The hotel is gorgeous, the views are beautiful and everything was magical! It was charming and luxurious. This hotel has a working elevator which is not always the case and the bathroom were very spacious and nice. The Arc and the Eiffel could be seen from the balcony and Champs-Élysées was within walking distance. Benoit and Manuel were so kind and friendly. Manuel always went out his way to make my niece laugh when he saw her. There are delicious restaurants within feet and the train is right next to the hotel. I will definitely return!

Ideally located and perfectly Parisian in hospitality, Hotel Belfast provided us an outstanding, comfortable accommodation for our short stay in the City of Light. It is a lovely historic lodging that exudes old world European charm in its interiors, but more importantly in its service. The front desk is staffed at all times, guests requesting room keys upon arriving and leaving room keys when exiting; so very old world in this modern touchless age. The hotel staff warm and engaging, a special note of gratitude to Benoit, went above and beyond to meet all of our needs from providing the best room for our party of three, securing the hottest ticket in town, scheduling airport transportation, lighthearted conversations, etc. We always felt safe, secure and looked-after. Our stay included the breakfast package which proved to be quite convenient and a great value. Madame cheerfully greeted us each morning and prepared our pots of cafe au lait, delivered to our table with a basket of fresh, delicious croissants and baguette; the traditional European style breakfast items was complete, and fulfilling to get the day started. Although we made it work, even the "superior" room was best suited for two people; finding our initial room too tight, with inadequate storage space we were able to move to a similar room with a queen bed and fold-away ottoman. A large armoire (rod & shelves) was the primary clothing storage, additionally one luggage rack, two night stands and table/desk were the only furnishings so unpacking fully was not practical. Bathing was very European as well in that a soaking tub & hand-held shower set-up worked best to prevent flooding the floor. The soaking tub was also a plus after all the walking and climbing necessary to get around in Paris! Americans don't often take the time to enjoy a good soak. The Hotel Belfast main floor was undergoing a beautiful cosmetic improvement, expertly executed by Italian artisans; this did not in any way impede on our stay. Look forward to seeing the project when completed; it will be quite stunning. Our heartfelt Merci Beaucoup to the Hotel Belfast. We would not hesitate to stay...

Hello,

I would like to formally complain about several situations that happened during the night shift yesterday and today.

Yesterday afternoon when I first contacted the hotel by phone to check availability for the current bookings I was very clear that the guests staying were not responsible for any sort of payments, therefore I've asked for payments links and put my card on hold.

But since the first check in yesterday night of guest * he was asked several times about payment of his reservation, which the first night was paid. Today as he was going back to his room night shift at reception, again, asked for his payment, which is already fully paid. Also asked for payment of the second booking of * and *.

When I called to understand the situation the same night shift reception not only was extremely rude to me and the guest he also said he couldn't check if it was payed and when I asked if this could be resolved in the morning, since he also couldn't understand what as the issue, he started to scream at me on the phone and hang up without notice. And still made the guests pay a deposit.

This type of behaviour is unacceptable from any kind of hotel, especially one that has such high reviews. Besides expecting apologies for my guests and myself, I expect the money they paid to be returned.

I'm very disappointed this was the experience they initiated their stay at the hotel and fully hope it won't...
