In the heart of Paris, nestled among its countless eateries, I discovered a culinary treasure that takes the Mediterranean-Italian dining experience to extraordinary heights. It quickly escalated to one of the best restaurants I’ve ever had the pleasure of dining in within the city.
From the moment you step inside, the hospitality envelops you. The owner's genuine warmth and hospitality are so inviting that you're transported to a place that feels both exclusive and intimately familiar. His presence at the restaurant not only elevates the experience but ensures a personal touch that is rare and delightful.
The staff, too, embody a serene calmness and efficiency that adds to the welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that every moment spent there is relaxed, unrushed, and thoroughly enjoyable.
When it comes to the food, both portion size and quality surpass expectations—generous servings crafted from high-quality ingredients. The owner himself took our orders and provided recommendations with such sincere thoughtfulness that he even advised against over-ordering. His honesty and the attentive care he exhibited were thoroughly refreshing.
Every dish presented to us was a masterclass in flavor. The snails, a delicacy I approached with caution, were impeccably prepared—utterly delicious. The burrata salad was another standout, combining freshness with a complexity of flavors that sang on the palate. And when it comes to onion soup, their version is a must-try; it's one of the best you’ll find in Paris, meticulously seasoned and perfectly balanced.
The mixed grill was a testament to the kitchen’s prowess— each piece of meat was tender, juicy, and cooked to tender perfection. It's no surprise that we found ourselves returning multiple times during our visit; the consistency of excellence is impressive.
Price-wise, it's hard to find fault—the value for quality ratio is exceptional. For those considering a visit with family, it gets better. The staff are incredibly accommodating toward children, treating our toddler with such affection, engaging in playful banter that added a layer of comfort to our dining experience.
This gem in Paris not only offers delectable food but does so in a manner that makes you feel valued and cared for. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone in search of culinary quality at great prices, accompanied by heartwarming hospitality. It's a haven for families, food lovers, and anyone in search of a meal that will be remembered long after...
Read moreIt’s a Lebanese restaurant but not exclusively because it has large menu of good eats from pastas, burgers and pizza. I stumbled upon this restaurant during dinner time because I was in the area seeing the Arc de Triomphe. It had lots of diners inside compared to the neighboring restaurants which was a good sign. I peered inside and the staff immediately welcomed me to look at the other diner’s food dishes. From the displays, I was settled from what I saw.
For appetizers, the frog legs and snails were selected. Frog legs had a nice texture and flavored with lemon. The snails were large and flavorful with its pesto sauce.
I saw someone having the Mussels and Fries so I decided to also have it. I’m a seafood lover and if you also, I absolutely recommend this dish. What “knocked my socks off” from this dish is the large quantity of mussels served in the small pot it comes served in. The broth is so delicious that it can be soaked up by some bread or even have pasta spaghetti added to it, it’s that good. I almost went for a second order of mussels because it was delicious. Mussels’ meat aren’t too filling for people with a big appetite so you may want to add a side of pasta to pour into the remaining sauce or add a 2nd dish if the fries (starches) doesn’t fill you.
The pizza had multiple cheeses topped with arugula and pesto. It had a nice crisp breading and delivered a “fresh” taste.
The Panacotta with orange blossom dessert is a nice finish. It’s got a light sweetness, hint of rose water, and pistachio bits. It comes together to satisfy a fine dining experience.
The atmosphere is pleasant and vibrant. The staff is always moving around and checking in for any needs. There was (maybe) a golden retriever “house dog” and he was a adorable. If you’re a dog lover, it won’t bother you. Occasionally he would walk up for head scratches and see if you dropped any food. But not aggressive at all as he just gives you the puppy eyes and moves on. The owner was helpful with a service-first approach and gave good menu recommendations. If you sit outside in the tented area especially during the evenings, there are overhead heaters and blankets to stay warm while you dine.
I didn’t get anything from the bar to give a review. Otherwise It got a near five stars because it was a tasty, fun and fulfilling experience. Definitely would come back again and highly...
Read moreThe beer was cold… that was the only positive.
After being seated we waited a while to be served, until finally hailing down a server to take our order.
We ordered the frogs legs and onion soups as entree with the croque Madame and goats cheese salads as mains.
Unfortunately, all the courses came out the same time and they had forgotten our drinks. Once reminded, they brought out our drinks quickly, but the main course were a bit cold by the time we were done with entrees.
The frogs legs had a soggy batter and were overpowered by an overly sour sauce, while the French onion soup tasted like gravy granules and onions masquerading a soup.
The croque Madame was oily and soggy and clearly made from cheap cheese and bread. At least the fried egg was still runny.
The goats cheese salad was a sad plate of iceberg lettuce, tiny slice of goats cheese, meagre sprinkle of quinoa and bland slices of tomato. This resulted in a watery and flavourless salad.
Sometimes, when food is this bad you hope the service and hospitality will make up for it. This was not the case. As mentioned, staff were slow to take our order, and even seemed to ignore other customers (multiple time I saw people standing and waving their arms to get the staff’s attention).
In the end, the only thing we finished were the drinks. We took a few bites of each plate and promptly asked for them to be...
