Le Cristal Brasserie turned out to be a really pleasant surprise. It wasn’t on my original list of cafés, brasseries, or patisseries to try in Paris, but after a long day of sightseeing near the Arc de Triomphe—with tired feet, low blood sugar, and a serious need for a good meal—I decided to stop in. I’m glad I did.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a classic Parisian brasserie charm that doesn’t feel forced or touristy. The staff were attentive without being overbearing, and the service was quick, which I appreciated given how hungry I was. The food itself was wonderful—fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. It felt like exactly the kind of comforting Parisian meal I needed in that moment.
While it wasn’t a “destination spot” on my list, Le Cristal Brasserie ended up being a memorable part of my Paris trip. If you find yourself near the Arc de Triomphe and want a reliable, delicious place to rest and refuel, I’d definitely...

It is okay that she is not able to understand English but she should confirm that thing with a chef or with the floor staff. This is very basic if you are in the hospitality business you should care for your customers
We simply pay the bill and we come out. I was feeling sorry for my mother
They didn't even apologize.
My only suggestion is if you don't speak the language you rather not go to this place or if you...

However, the staff member taking our order gave us a strange look, frowned, and asked in a very subtle but uncomfortable tone, “Are you sure the four of you are only ordering one breakfast?”
I looked around the café and noticed several locals leisurely sipping a single cup of coffee while working or chatting. No one questioned them. Yet we, clearly looking like tourists, were subtly judged for ordering a €15 breakfast set—which, if anything, costs more than four individual coffees.
I really don’t understand why we were treated this way. I try not to jump to conclusions, but it’s hard not to feel discriminated against after this kind of interaction. Very...
