I wish half stars were allowed on Google. I would have given 4.5 stars. Do I recommend this hotel? Yes, but with some caveats that I will go over below so you know what you are getting into. To me a hotel is a place to sleep, shower and sht. I don't need chocolates on my pillow. But to sleep, shower and sht there are a few requirements. I should mention I am 6'7" and 275 pounds so many of these things will be specific to a guy my size. So, on to the review. If you don't want to read the entire review, I do recommend this hotel. Good: The location is awesome. 10 minute walk to two different metro lines (Paris has like 20 metro lines). The close lines go to the Louvre, the Musea d'Orsay and sort of close to the Eiffel tower and Notre Dame. Breakfast was provided and was things like scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, juice and of course pastries. There is a self-serve coffee machine that was very nice. The people at the desk are very nice. The young lady that checked us in was wonderful and patient. I didn't really interact much with the night people beyond saying hello when we returned. Shower had plenty of water pressure and hot water Overall Hotel: I think every room may be different. Not sure. Some are (as others have said) very, very small and some are quite large. The are renovating the hallways so the bar mentioned on the website is closed. There is a very cool lounge area that some have posted pictures. We didn't sit in it, but it would have been a nice place to chill. Very comfortable. Overall the hotel furnishings and decorations are beautiful. Getting into the hotel required you to ring a bell until you have a key, then use your key. I liked the security. Things to know: (not bad, just things to know to decide if the hotel will work for you). The first room we were given had a separate shower room and a separate toilet room. The toilet area was so small that you couldn't sit to do your business or to “clean up” after without leaving the door open. If you are a person of size or tall (like me) you will not fit. Going to the bathroom with the door open and someone else in the room was not fun. If you are 5'5", the toilet room would work okay. The A/C in the first room was not working. It was blowing, but not cold. I went to the front desk and was told it is controlled by the front desk? When they turned it on, water went everywhere from the unit getting onto our open suitcases and all over the floor. I put down a towel and reported it and it wasn't dripping when we returned to the room later. But the A/C didn't work. We had to go down to the front desk three times to ask for a temp change and none of them cooled the room. I may have misunderstood what was happening to the A/C due to a language barrier - not sure. I was moved to a new room the second day and the A/C worked better... but it seemed like at 2 in the morning the cooling simply shut off. Nice and cool to go to sleep then you wake up in a puddle of sweat in the middle of the night. Then later in the morning it suddenly started cooling again. Weird. Bring your own toiletries. There is a bottle of something in the shower but not really sure what it was. Shampoo or shower gel? Either way, you may need to bring shampoo and bar soap. There were no wash cloths to use with whatever was in the bottle. The mattresses are not great for large people. The mattress hurt my back - but my smaller wife was fine. Let's face it - nothing in Paris/Europe is really built for someone 6'7" and 275 pounds so I lived with it. Not sure if this is a France thing but there was no top-sheet on the bed. Bottom sheet over the mattress and then a comforter on top to sleep under. I sleep hot so usually sleep under just a sheet - but there wasn't one. If you don't sleep hot, not really an issue. I hope they wash the comforter between guests 😊 You only get two pillows on a "queen" bed. Most hotels provide four. I ended up rolling up a towel to use under the pillow for support. I didn’t ask for more pillows. Hope this review helps. Enjoy your time in...
Read moreMy recent stay at the Hotel Peyris Opera in Paris was absolutely delightful. From the moment I walked into the charming lobby, I was struck by the hotel’s warmth and elegance. The décor perfectly blends classic style with modern comfort, creating a welcoming ambiance that immediately makes you feel at home.
The staff were exceptional throughout my stay to ensure every need was met. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready with fantastic recommendations for local dining and attractions. It’s clear that they truly care about creating a memorable experience for every guest.
My room was simple but beautifully appointed, and spotless. The plush bed was comfortable, making for restful nights after long days exploring the city. I especially loved the large windows that opened up to charming streets, allowing me to soak in the magical atmosphere of the neighborhood.
The location of the Hotel Peyris Opera couldn’t be better. Nestled in a vibrant area, it’s just a short walk to the Grands Boulevards, numerous cafes, shops, and key attractions. The nearby metro stations made it effortless to explore all that Paris has to offer, yet the hotel itself provided a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle.
The breakfast service was perfect. The fresh pastries, coffee, and selection of fruits and cheeses provided the perfect start to each day for a truly fair price.
Overall, my stay at the Hotel Peyris Opera was nothing short of perfect. It’s a true lower budget gem in the heart of Paris, offering an exceptional blend of comfort, convenience, and genuine hospitality. I can’t wait to return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and enchanting experience in the...
Read moreMy family and I stayed this place for 4 nights. It was booked through the trip master. We arrived past 12 on the 8th of May 2018. Room was on the top floor and small. Decent accomadation for sleeping. Anyways I am not writing this review about their amenities, this about hotel security and safety. I lost my wedding ring and three small gold chains from the room which I left inside my hand bag in a small box along with other fancy jewelry. We keep tabs on all of our belongings, but that we were tired and out and didn’t think to lock anything beyond our passports in the locker. Regardless of if everyone should be prepared for such events it’s truly terrifying to know someone can get into the room and go through our things. Because of this our stay in the hotel and in Paris was ruined. We lost our sense of security and could stay out of the hotel for a whole day like we did on the day I lost my jewelry. Even after complaining to the manager they said nothing could be done, and after so called investigation they told us no one entered our rooms through my email. They say it’s the first time for something like this to happen, but considering that not once they reached out to us and asked if everything was okay tells me that they’re used to this. They told us complain to the police, which turns out we needed to spend a whole day for so we didn’t, but even if had they wouldn’t have compensated us because we didn’t have travelers insurance. This is more of a word of caution to everyone else staying at this hotel, try to avoid it but if not lock everything valuable don’t take the risk because no...
