Atelier Malatang — Restaurant in Paris

The service is outstanding! I made a reservation for my birthday for 20 persons. It was very fast and uncomplicated. When we arrived the table was prepared and the staff patiently explained to everyone who never tried malatang before how the concept works. Everyone received their dish fast and everyone liked their food. It was perfect as everyone could decide which ingredients they wanted in their soup and choose between different broths. Also it was a fun experience to individualise their own dish. During the whole dinner the staff was super friendly and attentive, and they even gave us a homemade lemonade as a birthday gift. All in all the friendliest and best service we had so far in Paris and also the food was very delicious! There was a various of fresh ingredients, also suitable for vegetarians. A must try Chinese food during cold weather. Been there twice and had great experiences. You just need to choose what you like from the food corner full of fresh ingredients, check the weight, choose your flavor, pay then wait at the table. I highly recommend their shenyang soup base ( paris exclusive) and sichuan peppercorn soup base, was really delicious! Btw, you can choose 2 different tastes at the same time, they have special bowls to separate them. If you can’t eat spicy they also have many choices like tomato, mushroom, milk cheese and classic flavors. For spicy lovers you can decide the spice level while you order. This was hands down the best meal ive had in Paris. Service was excellent, they took their time to explain the different food available and altered the soup for my vegetarian mum. There are spicy broths and non spicy ones and they cater to all spice prefereces. The broth is truly amazing, the non spicy broth tastes like a ramen broth, but less sickening because its beef based and not as fatty. The handmade noodles and meats available are also very fresh. 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice warm broth on a chilly night.
