So we (my GF and I) were in Paris in july of 2023 for a Rammstein concert and wanted to combine this with a bit of sight seein in Paris.
We were looking for a hotel with short distance to a main metro station (in our case Place d'Italie), still somewhat in central Paris and serving mainly as a starting point for exploring the city itself while not bankrupting us.
So we did not look for a luxurious hotel or great food but just for that described above and Jack's Hotel was a good pick. Nothing too fancy but a sleeping place. The room was small but the bed was big for 2 people. The bathroom was small and so was the shower but it did its job and that was what we were looking for.
4 days to see Rammstein and explore the city was obviously not enough, but we were able to see enough to get a good sense of the massive scale of the city.
The breakfast was ok, just had it once and then the other 2 days met with another couple (friends of us), that were staying in a Hotel nearby, for breakfast in a restaurant near Place d'Italie.
For another Paris trip I would not mind staying at Jack's...
Read moreGreat location, less than 10 mins from Metro and in a lovely safe area. It was nice to be away from the touristy areas, lovely cafes, passtierries & restaurants nearby. Hotel is really nice. We arrived just after 3pm, unfortunately our room wasn’t ready (check in was 3pm) which was a little disappointing as we had been on the go since 6am and wanted to freshen up and unpack. However used their toilets to do this and they kept our bags. We didn’t return until 11.30pm and asked for compensation as there was no point in unpacking now as was only staying for one night. Spoke to manager the next morning, she kindly gave us a complimentary breakfast each, which we were grateful for, it’s a buffet style of a selection of cheese, hams, fruit, orange juice, coffee machine. They kept our bags for the rest of the day until we were due to catch our flight home. Would definitely...
Read moreOur stay was acceptable at this small private hotel. The room, bathroom (tiny) and lift were all very small however this is something one must accept in Paris particularly at the budget end. Given the size of the rooms you can hear your neighbours coughs and conversations. The street it is located in is quiet.
The service was fine although reception were on the phone a lot while we were their however ultimately depends who you get. You can get an Iron however have to pick it up yourself from reception. We arrived early however our room did not seem to be available. Tea is available in the rooms but you have to ask for milk from reception. The hotel is located near Place D'Italie metro station which is conveniently located close by. It is around 30 mins from the Eiffel Tower and 20 mins from the Louvre via the Metro. Given the price it is a decent...
