Simply PHENOMENAL! That is the best way I can describe Luiz and his tour. The passion he has for wine is only part of it. Luiz has a passion for communication as well. He was a wealth of knowledge and shared that knowledge in a way that was fun and enjoyable, not pretentious or academic. I went into this tour truly nervous that I was going to be the “dumb” kid on the trip that everyone laughed at. That could not have been further from reality! I came home more confident than ever in my knowledge of wine, all thanks to the master communicator and educator Luiz. Even if I didn’t like wine, this tour alone would have been a 5 star. Luiz took us into the real France. We went on the back roads away from all that it touristy and into the villages. We wandered narrow streets and alleys with the utmost comfort and confidence that we were being led by a master. Another difference between this tour and the big box tours was that we weren’t being sold anything. We weren’t led into tourist traps or trinket shops. There was no sales pitches. Every other commercial tour we took seemed to either have an upsell component, or you had to run the gauntlet of their chosen “treasures” vendors. Not here. Luiz was passionate about showing us not just how wines of France are great, but also why wines of France are great. In order to understand that you have to be in the villages. You have to be in the actual vineyards. You have to feel the soil and the rocks. Never before have I had someone hold up rocks and explain to me how the geological, the minerals and shells that are clearly visible in the rocks, affect the taste of the wine. How the direction of the hillside affects the amount of sun, which affects the taste. How the elevation and temperatures, including snow, changes the taste of the wine. If you have to choose only one tour while in France, I recommend Luiz. In our 11 days in France this was simply the best value, the best use of our time, and simply the most enjoyable part of our otherwise fantastic voyage to France. I cannot express my appreciation for Luiz, his wonderful hospitality, and his willingness to share his passion for wine enough. My only hope is that this review will serve as some small token of my appreciation, and that it will help someone else to be able to have an equally amazing experience.

Luis was a terrific guide! He had great information to share about the region and kept everyone on track throughout the day. Lovely mix of vineyards, delicious lunch and great vibes!!

I can't help but gush about the incredible all-day Champagne tour my family and I experienced recently! This wasn't our first rodeo; it was my second time on this tour, having been blown away by it before, and my mother's second time as well, as she had previously gone with her sister. Needless to say, our expectations were high, and yet somehow, Luiz and Leo, our guides, managed to exceed them effortlessly. The day was perfectly planned, starting with visits to two breathtaking wineries where we learned so much about the Champagne region, the intricate process of champagne-making, and of course, got to taste some exquisite bubbly. Luiz and Leo were not just guides; they were walking encyclopedias of knowledge about champagne, the local wineries, and the region's history. It was like having our own personal sommeliers sharing their passion with us. In between winery visits, we enjoyed a lovely lunch that was not only delicious but also perfectly paired with different champagnes, enhancing the whole culinary experience. The setting was picturesque, adding to the overall charm of the day. But what truly set this tour apart was the exceptional kindness and professionalism of Luiz and Leo. When our return train to Paris was delayed and eventually canceled, they didn't just leave us stranded. Instead, they went above and beyond by returning to the train station, helping us navigate the situation, translating for us, and even arranging a car service to ensure we made it back to Paris safely. Their dedication to ensuring we had a fantastic day from start to finish, coupled with their expertise and genuine warmth, made this tour not just a highlight of our trip but a memory we'll cherish for years to come. If you're looking for an unforgettable Champagne experience, look no further than this tour with Luiz and Leo—it's simply phenomenal!

We had a great tour! Yes, I've seen all these reviews that praise the tour guides, and they should! Our guide Luis is a passionate sommelier and the tour was structured to have different houses offering different wine styles, and if you choose to buy bottles, there's a chance you're getting great value.

Moreover, I booked this tour over any other ones because it seemed like an authentic tour company that was clear of what they were offering, and I could book direct. Other tour companies I searched seemed a little vague, questionable pricing, and/or couldn't book direct.

I went on the Burgundy tour and it was exactly as advertised. We were taken to a carefully selected list of vineyards, wineries, old towns etc. and met the winemakers and sampled various great wines. We were shown great views, wine processing equipment/rooms and cellars. The time duration from pickup to drop-off was right on target.

The places we were taken to were also not overly busy places, which is important in this age where sadly, many small towns get overwhelmed by over-tourism.

My hope is this review helps those looking for a wine tour while visiting Paris to book with confidence, as they will be getting a...
