I had a hard time writing this review. Not because I had nothing to write about this place, but because I don’t want to share my little studio with anyone else! Let’s start with all the wonderful pluses to this charming little abode. Paul and George are wonderful! It’s as if I had my own concierge. Check in and check out was a breeze as George was there to greet me and help with luggage etc. He also provided tips on the area including where to be extra careful walking at night. I really appreciate that being a woman on my own for this trip. The location is everything. Such a cool area with a fruit and veggie market, a patisserie, grocery store and cafes only steps away. I felt like the area was made up of mostly locals as well, which I like very much. For me immersing myself in the culture is important. Everything else I wanted from Paris was walkable and there are metro stations minutes away to whisk me off to outer reaches of the city. The apartment itself was absolutely charming. And quiet. Which is very important to me as I’m a light sleeper. The building itself has tons of charm and security as well. I felt very safe there. My little abode, which is actually quite spacious for a studio, was clean and bright. I had a wonderful little balcony to enjoy morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening before a night out. The bedding was so comfy and amazing! I slept like a baby. The bathroom was beautiful and had nice towels, Ritual soaps and lotion (such a classy touch) hair dryer etc. Even a scale! Hahaha! No thank you! There is a full kitchen which is super handy if I was staying longer. I spent most meals out with friends so I only used the Nespresso machine for my morning wake up. I still see myself sitting on the balcony watching my little neighborhood wake up as the sun rises over the gorgeous architecture that is Paris. I can not wait for my return and to share this little slice of heaven...
Read moreSuper support from the host. The host greeted us in front of the apartment at the agreed time. He showed us to our apartment and explained everything in detail. If you have any questions, someone is always available on site or via WhatsApp. |The apartments are not cheap, but offer very good value for money compared to the small and expensive hotel rooms in Paris.|We stayed in the Grenat apartment on the 2nd floor with a city view, balcony and a separate bedroom and dining room. The Grenat apartment has the largest balcony. There is little noise from the street, but we were there in April. It may be louder in the summer months. The entrance is secured with an access code. The apartment was very quiet, we heard nothing from our neighbors. The small kitchen has a coffee machine with sufficient capsules, kettle, cooking and eating utensils are available, everything is very clean and new. There are plenty of Rituals products in the bathroom (shower gel, soap, body lotion, cosmetics). Bathrobe and slippers are provided in the room. There are also plenty of bath towels available.|There are many restaurants and stores with food right in front of the house. In the evening the area is very lively, but not noisy. Safe area (even at night) and clean. Short walk to the nearest central metro station. ||Tip: Be sure to book an apartment with a city view (not facing the inner courtyard). The inner courtyard is quiet, but has little charm. The Topaze apartment is next to the Grenat apartment and has a small balcony with a table and two chairs and...
Read moreWe absolutely LOVED our stay in the Topaze suite at Le Beau Marais! This was our first time in Paris and we couldn't have imagined a better place for our 8 night stay. The suite was the perfect size for my husband and I, and Georges was very helpful in getting us checked in and out, and answering any questions we had during our stay! The room is beautiful and spacious with all the accommodations you could possibly need for a longer stay. Our favorite part of the suite was the balcony, which we spent many mornings and evenings sitting and taking in the neighborhood over an espresso and pain au chocolat, or wine before dinner! Opening up the two sets of doors to the balcony was a perfectly dreamy way to start each morning. The washer/dryer was a very useful amenity, since we did not think it would be as cold as it was and ended up needing to wear the same clothes several times!
The neighborhood is lovely and safe, with patisseries, pharmacies, cafes, grocery stores, wine shops and metros conveniently located in almost every direction. The building is beautiful, charming and historic and the residents were friendly and welcoming. We felt safe and comfortable during our stay and would highly recommend Le Beau Marais to anyone visiting Paris! I can't wait...
