Well located for people watching, on a street corner, not too busy, not too empty, so we took a chance. With the assistance of a friendly waiter, I ordered the lamb, my partner the beef BBQ, with vegetables instead of chips. The lamb was average enough, but the beef was genuine leather, and came with chips, not veg. My partner struggled with the beef, and left about 3/4 of it. I tried, for a good 10 mins, and had no choice but to put it back on the plate. I don't know how she ate the small amount she did, but I know why it took her so long. The waiter asked if all was ok, and I reported "my lamb was ok, but the beef was genuinely inedible I'm afraid. Just the bill please." He returned with the bill, no apology, no reduction. Covid or not, there's no excuse for this.

Le Oken in Paris was a delight! We stopped by for a quick aperitif—very much in that classic Parisian bistro style where you go for something light and quick before heading back out. The food was delicious, and the drinks were just as impressive. I had a Pornstar cocktail and a glass of Bordeaux, both spot-on and perfect for the moment. The location is great, right in the heart of Paris, making it an easy stop whether you’re wandering through the city or just looking for a cozy break. It was raining and cold that evening, but the Christmas lights decorating the streets made everything feel magical—so Parisian and so beautiful. Highly recommend Le Oken for a casual, quintessentially Parisian aperitif. I loved it and will definitely return!

we had the pleasure of dining here three times on our holidays this week. service was always top knotch. they have great drink selections, many house recipe cocktails, though for the price that could be stronger ;-) Burger was delicious, with a house sauce, served with crispy fries. my daughter ordered a chicken dish which was absolutely heavenly served in a thick are with yummy veggies. I wish we'd rated that every night! creme brulee was a very large portion (most of the desserts were saw we'rye large portions) and nicely torched and crispy on top, very yummy. we loved everything and found the value great.

I don’t usually go out of my way to give bad reviews but this is a must. Service was the worst I have experienced in my life. Waiters were absolutely rude. Beware of NICOLAS, the waiter with a manbun and arm tattoos. I ordered an omelette that is supposed to come with herb and ham, it came plain. I don’t know if this is French culture or what but when probed about my ham and herbs, Nicolas and another waiter gave the excuse that I did not ask for them to include it and that they did not know if I was allergic to ham or not. (If you wanted to know my allergy you would have asked at the start, like any normal waiter would.) MIND YOU ham and herbs were indeed mentioned in the menu description of the item. Additionally, all our hot chocolates did not come with cream (as described in the menu) despite the other tables having a boat load of cream.

At this point I was already done, but what to do, just move on right? No. This waiter did not relent.

Here’s more stuff that happened: Rudely cleared a plate i’m not done with. When clearing a plate, he dropped a wet spoon on me, and DID NOT apologise, just gave a shrug and smirk. For payment, he was impatient and aggressively shoved the card reader onto my phone. Should be me placing the phone onto the reader right? How rude.

Whoever who is the owner of this place, should fire him. Who knows how many other non-French people are receiving this...

A group had dinner here last night Having worked in hospitality my whole life I wouldn't even give this 1 star . Thr manager needs replacing asap and a rash course in customer service. The food Both steaks extremely under cooked sent them back came back my piece was inedible fatty and just gross. Deserts left on a waste table for 10 mins numerous waiters walking by it leaving over placing dirty dishes next too mind you we where right next to this table put it in front of who ordered it, trying to order anything was ignored numerous times. Eventually my Crepes came thr whole rim of the plate covered in finger marks disgusting. We told the manager to amend the check He sent a waiter over who argued with us then the manager shouting at us rolling his eyes at our complaints then held one of us there till the rest of the bill was paid. One waiter blocked me in with his body Avoid this place at all costs . The manager should have rectified this whole horrible experience buy he just...

If a restaurant's waiters skin a “tourist” just because they speak English, the restaurant will only lose more loyal customers. I often come here for afternoon tea, however today I decided to have dinner here. When ordering, I repeatedly emphasized that I only wanted the regular, normal, ordinary water. However, the waiter brought an opened Vittel and poured it into my cup, directly without any ask. I don’t have any chance to confirm, and because Without seeing him open the bottle, I can’t make sure whether it was just a recycling bottle with the regular water. However, when I got the bill, it all became clear. I paid 7 euros for a “regular water”! I didn't argue on the spot in restaurant because I was in a hurry. But I think it’s necessary to let more people know this situation. Your self-righteous cleverness makes me feel bad! Once the trust is broken, it cannot be restored. Though I still lived in this area, I would not go to this...
