Gorgeous hotel, fantastic location, impeccable service. ||The hotel itself is what you would expect from a 5-star hotel in Paris – clean, neat, luxurious. The spa downstairs feels like an old wine cellar and has showers, a sauna, a hot tub, and gym, all available 24/7 (but I didn't see another person down there the entire time we stayed). There aren't a ton of places to sit in the lobby, but the spaces they do have are beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. ||But I wanted to mainly give kudos to a hotel employee who really seemed to go out of their way to make people happy. There are some cities or resorts you can stay at where all you do is stay around the hotel area. Paris is obviously not one of those places – you're there to sleep, maybe eat a bit, but you spend most of your day exploring the city. So the fact that the hotel experience was so impactful says something about the staff and the hotel in general. ||We arrived at 10am on a Friday and immediately were greeted warmly by the maître d'hotel, Fernando, to come sit and have breakfast. Throughout our trip, Fernando became a welcome and memorable presence. The breakfast buffet is a must-do at least once on your trip. And if you're like me, it's a must-do every morning. Previous times in Paris I have eaten breakfast at cafés or on the go, but nothing touches this breakfast assortment. The pastries, the yogurts, eggs, fruit, spreads, coffee – everything is TOP notch, perfectly fresh and delicious. I had picked out 4 places I absolutely wanted to go for breakfast, and I didn't go to any of them because the breakfast buffet at Relais Christine just that good, and that comfortable of a setting. ||Meanwhile, on our second morning, Fernando briefly sang opera to a table who clapped along with the rest of the room. He seemed so genuinely happy to be of service, and to make memorable experiences for everyone in the room. We got to chatting about music, and I mentioned to him that I am very fond of Brazilian cheese bread (pão de queijo) since he was born in Brazil. The next morning, my wife and another couple sat down for breakfast, and what did Fernando have waiting for us? A bowl of warm, fresh pão de queijo, that he no doubt went out of his way to get for us from a French bakery very early in the morning. ||I know we were not the only people he's gone out of his way for, and I'm sure others who have stayed here have benefitted from...

Every time we plan a trip to Paris, it inevitably revolves around staying at Relais Christine. We’ve had the pleasure of staying at many luxury properties around the world, but this hotel remains one of the very best in terms of staff, rooms, and location.
What truly sets Relais Christine apart is the incredible staff. From the moment we step out of the car, the doorman welcomes us “home” — a small gesture that means the world. The front desk team, many of whom have been there for years, always make us feel like family. It's such a joy to be greeted by Delphi, Bruno, Mathew, and of course, the incomparable Paul, the most amazing concierge we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Their dedication ensures we always return to our favorite suite (our little secret!), and their familiar faces are a welcome sight after a long day exploring the city.
The hotel breakfast is the perfect start to our mornings. While we were initially saddened by the retirement of our beloved Guinone, we couldn’t be more delighted with his wonderful successor Fernando and the attentive Nicole. They always remember exactly where we like to sit, and we find our table waiting with fresh juice and coffee — a thoughtful touch that never goes unnoticed.
The housekeeping staff deserves equal praise. They go above and beyond to ensure everything in the room is just right — from pristine tidiness to the delightful extra chocolates during turndown service. Every detail is handled with care and intention.
Relais Christine is truly our favorite hotel — for these reasons and many more that are hard to put into words. It is our sanctuary in Paris, and we can’t wait to return.
Thank you, Relais Christine, for always making us...
Read moreProbably one of the poorest 5 star experience we’ve ever had, and I compare this to similar boutique experiences and not large chains. I have booked via booking and was informed when selecting the Duplex that it holds a bedroom, a sofa bed and one extra bed is available upon request. Given that I traveled with my husband, two toddler children and our nanny, I have booked 2 identical rooms even though it was well above our needs. We got there and I was refused when requesting the extra bed not based on lack of availability but “french law”. Once I’ve shown the room description and confirmation a bed can be added I was suggested that one child can sleep in the other room(?!) or that we can have an upgrade the next day. It was not the lack of solution that bothered me ( as they know, i have made it work as it was and didn’t fall mesmerized by the free upgrade) - but the attitude and lack of understanding on what the issue actually was.
Another things that left me baffled for a 5 stars experience - you need to figure out where breakfast is? how to reach a room service menu? basically a total lack of service or information available unless you intentionally seek it. And spoiled fresh juice at breakfast at 7 AM is hardly understandable.
Lastly, what probably made me even write this review was that we were given a checkout time of 1 PM on only one of the rooms and our request to keep it until 1:30 as we flew out at 4 was deemed as impossible.
It’s a great great location but the experience was exactly 3 stars, just...
