Gorgeous hotel, fantastic location, impeccable service. ||The hotel itself is what you would expect from a 5-star hotel in Paris – clean, neat, luxurious. The spa downstairs feels like an old wine cellar and has showers, a sauna, a hot tub, and gym, all available 24/7 (but I didn't see another person down there the entire time we stayed). There aren't a ton of places to sit in the lobby, but the spaces they do have are beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. ||But I wanted to mainly give kudos to a hotel employee who really seemed to go out of their way to make people happy. There are some cities or resorts you can stay at where all you do is stay around the hotel area. Paris is obviously not one of those places – you're there to sleep, maybe eat a bit, but you spend most of your day exploring the city. So the fact that the hotel experience was so impactful says something about the staff and the hotel in general. ||We arrived at 10am on a Friday and immediately were greeted warmly by the maître d'hotel, Fernando, to come sit and have breakfast. Throughout our trip, Fernando became a welcome and memorable presence. The breakfast buffet is a must-do at least once on your trip. And if you're like me, it's a must-do every morning. Previous times in Paris I have eaten breakfast at cafés or on the go, but nothing touches this breakfast assortment. The pastries, the yogurts, eggs, fruit, spreads, coffee – everything is TOP notch, perfectly fresh and delicious. I had picked out 4 places I absolutely wanted to go for breakfast, and I didn't go to any of them because the breakfast buffet at Relais Christine just that good, and that comfortable of a setting. ||Meanwhile, on our second morning, Fernando briefly sang opera to a table who clapped along with the rest of the room. He seemed so genuinely happy to be of service, and to make memorable experiences for everyone in the room. We got to chatting about music, and I mentioned to him that I am very fond of Brazilian cheese bread (pão de queijo) since he was born in Brazil. The next morning, my wife and another couple sat down for breakfast, and what did Fernando have waiting for us? A bowl of warm, fresh pão de queijo, that he no doubt went out of his way to get for us from a French bakery very early in the morning. ||I know we were not the only people he's gone out of his way for, and I'm sure others who have stayed here have benefitted from...

A True Parisian Gem – Our Home Away from Home

Every time we plan a trip to Paris, it inevitably revolves around staying at Relais Christine. We’ve had the pleasure of staying at many luxury properties around the world, but this hotel remains one of the very best in terms of staff, rooms, and location.

What truly sets Relais Christine apart is the incredible staff. From the moment we step out of the car, the doorman welcomes us “home” — a small gesture that means the world. The front desk team, many of whom have been there for years, always make us feel like family. It's such a joy to be greeted by Delphi, Bruno, Mathew, and of course, the incomparable Paul, the most amazing concierge we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Their dedication ensures we always return to our favorite suite (our little secret!), and their familiar faces are a welcome sight after a long day exploring the city.

The hotel breakfast is the perfect start to our mornings. While we were initially saddened by the retirement of our beloved Guinone, we couldn’t be more delighted with his wonderful successor Fernando and the attentive Nicole. They always remember exactly where we like to sit, and we find our table waiting with fresh juice and coffee — a thoughtful touch that never goes unnoticed.

The housekeeping staff deserves equal praise. They go above and beyond to ensure everything in the room is just right — from pristine tidiness to the delightful extra chocolates during turndown service. Every detail is handled with care and intention.

Relais Christine is truly our favorite hotel — for these reasons and many more that are hard to put into words. It is our sanctuary in Paris, and we can’t wait to return.

Thank you, Relais Christine, for always making us...

Probably one of the poorest 5 star experience we’ve ever had, and I compare this to similar boutique experiences and not large chains. I have booked via booking and was informed when selecting the Duplex that it holds a bedroom, a sofa bed and one extra bed is available upon request. Given that I traveled with my husband, two toddler children and our nanny, I have booked 2 identical rooms even though it was well above our needs. We got there and I was refused when requesting the extra bed not based on lack of availability but “french law”. Once I’ve shown the room description and confirmation a bed can be added I was suggested that one child can sleep in the other room(?!) or that we can have an upgrade the next day. It was not the lack of solution that bothered me ( as they know, i have made it work as it was and didn’t fall mesmerized by the free upgrade) - but the attitude and lack of understanding on what the issue actually was.

Another things that left me baffled for a 5 stars experience - you need to figure out where breakfast is? how to reach a room service menu? basically a total lack of service or information available unless you intentionally seek it. And spoiled fresh juice at breakfast at 7 AM is hardly understandable.

Lastly, what probably made me even write this review was that we were given a checkout time of 1 PM on only one of the rooms and our request to keep it until 1:30 as we flew out at 4 was deemed as impossible.

It’s a great great location but the experience was exactly 3 stars, just...

Staying at a @Relais & Châteaux hotel ✨🏰🍷 feels like stepping into your own cozy estate— Each one is unique, intimate, and full of history, with family-style hospitality that makes you feel at home, and the food is always next level– with Michelin-starred dining or fresh, farm-to-table flavors 🍇 One of my favorites is the @relaischristine in Paris, which is like your own private escape in the heart of the city with a private car offered to guests to use for day trips to places like the Loire Valley. But no matter where in the world you go, a Relais & Châteaux stay always delivers the same warm cozy feeling where you can pretend your staying at your own family’s estate. Also, booking with us gets you added amenities such as upgrades, resort credits & more 🥂 DM me to schedule a call & get started designing your next dream trip 💌 . . . #relaischateaux #luxurygetaway #summergetaway #luxurytraveladvisor #luxurytravel #embarkbeyondadvisor

Very nice place. Would stay here again and recommend to others looking to stay in the Latin Quarter *Great location - was not too crazy busy, loud, or touristy. *Breakfast buffet and coffee were great. 35 euro/person not too bad…… if your gluten free they do have a little gluten free bread if you ask that’s pretty good *There are bicycles available to use with bike locks (but see recommendation below about e bikes) *Have the hotel call taxis for you when you need them - super easy. Just ask the front desk *There is a gym and sauna downstairs *Spa looked super nice - although we did not book anything there *** 2-hour E Bike tour with local guy?! *** If I could recommend one thing, go on Airbnb and search experiences, you should see a 2 hour E Bike tour around Paris with Renaud. This was a lot of fun, we saw a ton and was probably the highlight in Paris for us. *** Paris in your pocket - by Jay Swanson *** Google it I would def suggest buying this E-Guide. It was great! We didn’t do everything of course but it was a great resource to have 💯 ** Dinner Recommendations: ** (Both places accommodate gluten free) * Hebe - tasting menu was awesome! * Didon - tasting menu was awesome! ** Lunch recommendation: ** (Most all are buckwheat flour and gluten free) * Breizh for crepes. Excellent.

We recently enjoyed a wonderful 5 night stay at Christine Relais. There are many wonderful things to say about this charming hotel, but hands-down the location of this hotel can’t be beat. It is located in the delightful St Germain des Pres area and while close to everything, it is situated on a side street with a beautiful courtyard that puts it well away from any noise. Moreover, this neighborhood is safe and has a fabulous selection for dining, exploring and shopping. An easy 10 minute walk to Notre Dame and Ile de la Cité. The staff was warm, friendly and always very helpful. The honesty bar in the lobby was perfect for a glass of wine in the early evening. Breakfast was scrumptious. The courtyard with the double swing seat is charming and surprisingly peaceful. Lastly, our room was completely enchanting! Our room was situated on the top floor and tucked into the eaves of the building. We felt that we were in our own little Parisian apartment. We had an incredible view out over the rooftops, and even had a view of the top of the Eiffel tower. Our room was comfortable, well-appointed, and full of character. Appreciated the lovely high quality bathroom products, and the well-stocked minibar. We can’t wait to return!
