I was here about a week ago and it was a disaster. We were looking for a nearby halal place and this was the top on the search. We were already away from home for weeks and seeing a halal thai food really boosted our energy. We walked , took the bus , walked again about 15 mins more through the rain and finally we reached the destination.
The moment we entered, the vibes changed. It was small and crowded & the line start forming. We saw 3 tables were available & I told the waiter countless time that we dont mind spliting but the indian waiter insisted that we wait because the long table will be available soon … in 10 mins..
He started giving the empty seats to the people behind us. Ok understood , atleast he cleared the line and left us only (10 of us)
Two empty seats still and I told him, can two of my parents get the seats ? With his rude tone , he said he cant give because its too narrow and asked to wait .
At this point , i’m already pissed off with him but because we were hungry and its hard to find halal food nearby , i decided to brushed off and just wait.
After that , he told us the tables were ready. We flipped through the menu. And within minute my uncle was ready to order. He raised his hand and called out the indian waiter. And you know what he said ?? “I will only take orders when all are ready.” Mind you, yes we all seated in long table , but there was still gap in between ( 2,6 and 2). Is it hard to just take my uncle order first and let us flipped through the menu first ??? Is this the standard customer service ? Or is it because we are tourists ?
At the end I have to argue with my own family to make a fast decision and just order whatever food .
If facing customer is not your forte, then dont work in an environment where u have to deal with them.
And remember the available table that he did not gave to us because its small and narrow? Yes he gave that table to a couple.
I wish the indian waiter “ have the...
Read moreI'm from New York and there's a lot of very good Thai restaurants here but compared to them, Le Wok is on a whole new level. I can't stop saying good things about this place. Firstly, the service is top notch. My waiter (a gentleman originally from Bangladesh, so sad I forgot his name) was so kind and helpful in finding a table and recommending based on what we like. I tried the Khao Pad lunch special, and my wife had the Green Curry lunch special. Both items were divine, and so full of flavor. The lunch special also came with an appetizer and a dessert (forgot what I ordered), but I remember it being such a good value meal for the money I spent. Only downside is the first floor gets a bit busy during lunchtime and since the tables are close to each other, it's hard to move around. But the food and service makes everything worth it. Oh, and its fully halal too. I will come back for sure. It's a must try for anyone...
Read moreThe food here taste incredible! I bought the set special, which consisted of 1 main dish + 1 appetizer or dessert of our choosing. I got the Pad Thai Chicken and Creme Brulee with mango ice cream. The Pad Thai came in such huge portion so you might want to take half for takeaway if you're a light eater like me. Also, if you come from an Asian country or ur used to eating spicy food, you'll find that it has zero trace of spiciness even though it said spicy in the menu haha. I'm not complaining though because it still had such a delightful taste; a light peanut sauce taste which i love. The creme brulee was a nice way to finish it off ❤
The staff were also super friendly. They have menu books prepared in 2 languages (French & English) so you don't have to worry even if you don't speak French. The entrance location is a little small so you can easily miss it. Just keep and eye on the word Wok and...
