What an amazing week we spent here in March 2025, and we couldn't recommend it more! From the first contact with Chris and Beth discussing dates and options they go above and beyond and certainly the extra mile to supply you with lots of extra information and advice. Especially for us as a family never going on a skiing trip abroad, the guidance was superb to reassure us.||BOOKING||Once the date was secured the booking process is straight forward with the user portal access to look at all of your booking details. |The information that is sent to you for info on Ski Equipment hire, ski passes, Insurance, transfers etc is so helpful to make an informed decision. |Chris and Beth arranged all of our bookings for Ski Equipment Hire, Lift Passes and Ski School Lessons for the kids. We made the transfer booking ourselves via a handy link they have with Skiidy Gonzales. The best part is they get you preferential rates.||TRANSFER||Booked directly with their recommendation (-5% discount via their link) The transfer was very simple, they have an easy to locate desk at Geneva Airport, we had a 5 minute wait the we were walked to the minivan and swiftly taken to Les Gets.||CHALET||A very warm welcome greeted us from the whole family, the Chalet is awesome, it is immaculately clean and well presented, the location is stunning and the garden around the property is beautiful. We stayed in the large lower floor family room Soleil, which had plenty of space for the four of us. It had a large bathroom with a bath and a shower, and also kitchen facilities. It also had direct access to the garden and hot tub. ||The sitting room / dining room upstairs is very large, with access to tea/coffee, a very handy honesty bar service for soft drinks, spirits, wine, beer and snacks. |TV, computer games, board games, card games etc give plenty of options to keep the whole family entertained.||Helpful Chalkboard in the dining area with places to visit, the next seven days weather, and the food menu for what will be served in the Evening, nothing better than having a big day on the slopes to come back knowing that you will have a prepared three course evening meal (winter only) two courses in the summer. ||FOOD||The food at the Chalet is superb!!! |Breakfast had fresh fruit juices, tea and coffee, a range of cereals, porridge, pastries and a hot option, we had bacon, scrambled egg, and someday poached eggs, good variation and filled you up well for the days skiing. |When you returned in the Afternoon there was a cake in the bar area for you to enjoy with a tea or coffee. |The three courses in the evening were outstanding, dishes full of flavour, very filling and a great variation of dishes. Chris and Beth would also discuss if the kids needed less, or different options should they be needed. Wine is also provided in the evening with your meal. ||I am gluten free (coeliac disease) and they fully catered for me with no issues or concerns from a cross contamination perspective, they are very knowledgeable about this and made it all very easy for me.||LOCATION||This location is by far one of the most beautiful places that we have ever visited, the endless mountain peaks, the rustic town with character for days, the relaxed way of life and friendly people everywhere we visited made this trip so special, especially when you are up the mountains the view extends even further, even getting to see Mont Blanc. |The free bus travel in town and the free land train and great. Even walking from the Chalet to the Centre is 5-8 min walk. ||SKI-HIRE||Our hire was arranged by Beth for Skimium, which is directly opposite the Chavannes Chairlift. On our day of arrival Chris walked us over to the shop to get fitted for sizing, all very straight forward and the staff onsite are helpful. |Each day you attend the shop your skis and boots are on a numbered rack, you just leave your own footwear on the same rack. And so easy at the end of the day you return them back to the shop to save you having to carry them anywhere. ||SKI-SCHOOL||We asked Chris and Beth to arrange Daily private lessons for our two kids, age 6 + 10. Although this option is more expensive than the group lessons the kids really came on at pace, it was with ESF and their Instructors are so nice and helpful and speak great English. Both of our kids had never tried Skiing before, by the end of the week they had been down most blues and reds all over the resort!||TOWN||The town is lovely, we enjoyed wandering around the shops, eating Crepes, Tartiflette, having a few drinks at the L'Aprèski Bar, they have an ice skating rink in the town centre and an old wooden carousel. |The Luge ( alpine rolercoaster) was unreal, we rode it many times with the kids it was so much fun and great value for Money. ||We visited Morzine for an afternoon to take the kids to the swimming pool, the town is much larger than Les Gets and it was also very nice to have a walk around. There is a bus service operating between Morzine and Les Gets which was 2 EUR an adult and the kids were free. ||||We will absolutely look forward to returning again to Chalet Adventure! If you are considering a trip to the area for any type of holiday, not just Skiing or Snowboarding, but maybe walking, mountain biking or hiking, then you really should book to stay here, it is really wonderful and we cannot thank Chris, Beth and the family for making us feel so welcome and looking...
Read moreHuge thanks to Beth and Chris for a great stay at Chalet Adventure. We were a sole occupancy group of eight, staying from 5th-12th January 2025. Beth and Chris were so communicative before the trip, they responded to WhatsApp messages pretty much immediately, and the booking portal was enormously useful when a big group of friends can log on and pay their share/fill in their details without it all falling on the lead booker. The trip was reasonably priced compared to other catered chalets I had come across, and the private transfers to and from the airport were so helpful. Even though our flight was severely delayed (thanks a lot EasyJet!), Beth was tracking the flight and picked us up when we finally landed. Great food, really receptive to dietary requirements like my husband's peanut allergy, and me just annoyingly not liking beef. I had a separate veggie meal on beef nights and it was always delicious. The themed nights like 'Mexican night' and 'fondue night' were a particular hit. The hot tub was another great highlight, thoroughly enjoyed by the group. We unfortunately did not have great luck with the weather, so it was a well received treat at the end of a soggy day. Les Gets is a fairly low resort, so rain was a slight issue for us, but Beth very generously gave us a lift to Avoriaz if we needed it, even on the staff day off! If the snow/weather is good, the Perrieres chairlift is a short walk from the chalet. Just a couple of things (not critiques in the slightest, just might be useful for potential bookers to know!), breakfast was mostly continental, even on staffed days, with boiled eggs on one day and pancakes on another. Also the ski locker is a shed outside, not heated or anything, so don't leave your boots out there or you'll still have wet feet come morning! A great family run chalet with friendly and approachable hosts. Thanks again for...
Read moreInitially, this holiday was really for my boyfriend who was desperate to go snowboarding again, but due to various reasons, he didn't have anyone to go with this year. So reluctantly, I said I would go. However, what turned out to be a holiday that was mainly going to be for him, turned out to be one of the best holidays I've had in a very long time! From start to finish, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we are booking again for next year :-)
We had a very smooth transfer from Geneva Airport, the firm was called Skiidy Gonzales and our driver was friendly and chatty. When we arrived at Chalet Aventure, we were greeted by the very welcoming chalet hosts who were very helpful, and that service continued throughout the week. We had fantastic food and the daily cake was something we always looked forward to!
The chalet was always clean and felt like a cosy home away from home - a home with a hot tub though, and that was very enticing after a day on the slopes!
Chris and Beth were always around if we had any questions and their local knowledge was invaluable. Hiring the snowboarding equipment was easily arranged through Beth and the staff at the hire shop were always helpful.
We ate in some lovely restaurants for lunch each day (definitely go and visit Wild Beets in town and also La Grande Ourse on Mont Chery).
I had snowboarding lessons each morning with ESF Ski School, helpfully arranged by Beth, and the lessons were always fun with spectacular views - bonus!
Overall, a fantastic holiday! Great hosts, cosy chalet, equipment hire and lessons were all easily arranged and I would not hesitate to recommend Chalet Aventure.
