Restaurant La Biskatcha — Restaurant in Thonon-les-Bains

Never disappointed when coming to Biskatcha. The food is lovely, the staff are polite and super helpful. You're never waiting too long for service even on a busy day which shows the restaurant is employing enough staff and whom care about serving.

The quality (good food and service) is what keeps this place always busy, booking is a must! It's a little pricier than the alternatives but the value for it is there. I've been coming for the last 10 years, this restaurant also catered to my partner's intolerances (gluten and lactose) which is not always the case in France and generally it's not easy to avoid both.

There was no alternative apertif for him (I'm sure they will have prepared something if we notified them in advance) but otherwise fully catered for him 😊

How on earth does this restaurant have a 4.2 star rating on Google? The burger was raw on the inside. The chicken on the wing was not cooked properly, was still raw and also deep fried. Not even seasoned! The veal and lamb sweetbreads were boiled in a watery mixture of red wine and not even fried. The bottom of the spring onion was still on it. Fries were tough and full of fat. Burger could not even be prepared without pickle, because it was already premade according to the waiter. We asked for lager beer and got a watery lemon beer. Did not even taste like lager. We’ve eaten here numerous times and have usually enjoyed our evening,but recently something has changed . We were shown to our our table and left for what seemed a very long time , then a lady arrived to take our order, we asked for an aperitif before our food but we were left waiting again. Our entrées arrived no drinks ! and we asked again where our drinks were. The drinks arrived 5 mins later . Not only did we miss out on enjoying our aperitif, Biskatcha missed out selling a bottle of wine as we had no time to drink one.
