I am editing this, because my second stay in this hotel -- never happened, as the HOTEL had cancelled my booking. AVOID if you want to have a place to sleep! They canceled my booking-- my non-cancellable booking made 7 months in advance. This is totally unbelievable. After having a booking made from November 2018 for June 2019, now they emailing me-- telling me that they cannot receive me, and want to give me back the money for what I paid in November 2018. I cannot find the same accommodation NOW, for what I paid in November. They deceived me and used my money for 6-7 months. I asked for the same conditions as my booking-- and they are telling me to pay them myself. And they made me wait 2 weeks and made me think that they will find me a different place and pay for it in the same conditions-- as it would have been normal. They want me to move from that hotel to their 2 times in my stay. Like I have booked a tour of Serris and to sleep in a different place almost every-night. With a kid of 5 years. Unbelievable. And why? Because they rented the whole hotel to another big guy- who paid a lot for sure. Now... they are dumping all the other guests. And I not the only one who they simply left on the streets with no accommodation for their holiday, or not the same. Really-- I am going to court about this if I do not receive the same level as my accommodation, for the whole period of my stay. You cannot simply cancel a booking made 7 months in advance, and expect me to shut up and find another place. I have transfers and airplanes tickets- all booked starting from the accomodation first. You ruined my holiday.
Previous stay: We had a nice stay for Disneyland. The cleanliness is exceptional. The triple premium room was spacious and newly refurbished. We had complimentary coffee machines and tea facilities in the room, which the restock daily. Also the water in the minibar is included in the room rate, and they restock it daily.
We are planning to go back to the hotel next summer, for Disneyland. We enjoyed it and we had everything we needed.
The closet was quite small. The fridge is a mini bar and doesn't cool enough for certain food. But it is good to store some snacks and some sandwiches.
The location is really convenient. Right across the street from both the RER and Val d'Europe shopping center (with a large Auchan and lots of shops). They provide a free shuttle to Disney. It takes 15 minutes by shuttle to the park, or 3 by RER. The RER tickets are about 4 euros for 2 adults and 1 child (4-12 years) for one way. The RER comes every 7-10 minutes, while the shuttle has a 20-30 minutes waiting time, if you miss it. They give you a schedule. To Paris, we travelled by RER, and it took us 1h in the morning and almost 2h at 21:30 to return. At night, not all the trains go to VAL D'Europe.
About the room: You can hear every noise from the hallway in the room. No soundproofing for the coridor. But we had quiet neighbours and we only heard them once or twice when entering their room. You can also hear the RER from the room. But it is not too loud. Also, one time, they did renovation at 17:00 in the afternoon (drilling sounds), and everyday at 16:30 they vacuum the hallway. We were having our afternoon sleep at 16:30 and we had to put some music on to cover the noise.
The view on the back of the hotel was not exceptional, but we could see Disneyland from the window and we watched the fireworks 🎆 also.
Big thanks to the reception guy who helped us at 01:30 in the morning and got us a clean set of linen, after my child threw up in bed. It saved us, and we are really grateful for how nice he was. All the...
Read moreStayed here on 3 day Disneyland trip with my wife and kids. We didn’t want to spend extra to stay in a resort hotel. Everything about this hotel was spot on. Clean rooms, amazing staff, superb location and a great free shuttle to the Disney Parks. We’ll be back for sure.
Location 45 mins in a cab from CDG airport. 5 mins from Disney, the free shuttle operates from morning until late at night (midnight) and picks up across the road from the hotel and drops you off opposite the Five Guys restaurant near to the Disney security entrance. You probably have to walk say 5 mins to join the entrance queue. Returning is easy, simply go back to where you were dropped off, show your room card and you get back on board. The buses were clean, and not busy. Across the road from the hotel is the Val d’Europe shopping mall which is HUGE. It has a ton of shops, including a Primark so great if you have forgotten anything, plus loads of restaurants and a Sealife Centre which is handy if you have a few hours to kill and have kids to entertain. The hotel is 2 mins from Val D’Europe train station which is on the metro line so In theory can get into central Paris in an hour. There are numerous bars and cafes near the hotel which is good for a quick drink or a quick morning coffee and croissant etc.
Food/Drink We didn’t use the restaurant or bar for anything but breakfast but they looked great. You can buy drinks and snacks at the reception. It was nice to grab a cold beer at the end of the day to take up to the bedroom. Breakfast is served in the restaurant and is a decent hot and cold buffet. Filled us all up before a long day on rollercoasters (!). Approx 10/12 euros per person. Coffee machine cappuccino is not great - stick to the macchiato.
Staff Friendly, helpful, looked smart, spoke good English (thankfully). Not much more I can say.
Rooms Spacious, clean, modern with innumerable lighting options. Large bathrooms with shower and bath tubs. Free toiletries, clean very fluffy towels, robes and slippers. Beds were comfy and hotel was generally quiet. Mini fridge in the room with bottles still and sparkling water refreshed daily, ironing board, hairdryer etc all included and a free safe that was easy to use. Tea and instant coffee included and a coffee pod machine was in the room. Free pods were also supplied which was a nice touch.
Overall As I said earlier, we booked this hotel to save money as an alternative to a Disney resort hotel. You still pay a premium however, I imagine due to the excellent location. But despite this, the hotel was completely in line with its price point. 4 star maybe, but a proper 4 star hotel in my opinion. I would recommend to a family looking to get...
Read moreChose this hotel due to its close proximity to Disneyland and the reviews didn’t seem so bad. Worst hotel I’ve stayed at in the past 20 days during my euro trip. Breakfast was included but we didn’t eat there after the 1st of 4 nights because the yogurt and coffee comes from a machine -stuff that should be offered fresh. The eggs etc looked gross.
Main issue: the bath tub would not drain and water would pool to the top. They didn’t fix the issue and claimed they did; I had to take pics to show them it’s still pooling. The guy working front desk in the evening and housekeeping staff were the only nice ones we encountered. He offered to let us switch rooms. Water still pooled in the 2nd room tub but not as much. We didn’t bother complaining. The main issue here was the washroom smelled so bad the entire time upon checking in, maybe due to drainage issues and also mold and red stuff along the tub.
They will not heat up food for your baby unless it’s mushy food in a pouch? Kids under two have teeth and can eat things like pasta but they refused to microwave it. Columbus coffee across the street was happy to do this and I was happy to tip them for being so kind.
Rooms are basic, no room for a crib in the first room and we were told all rooms are the same size, but the second room was clearly bigger and had room for a crib; coffee in rooms is powdered -who even uses this? Such unhealthy options here. You have to ask for amenities and get them from the front.
Upon checkout they didn’t even ask how was your stay. Just took payment. This place was terrible. Better options nearby. The only good thing is its location across the outlets and mall; and the Italian restaurant around the corner.
Lastly, the alarm went off in the entire hotel @930pm one night and they said it was a technical issue. Still alarming -should we evacuate or wait for hotel staff to let us know what to do? No communication...
