Le Diplomate — Restaurant in Torcy

I order hamburger with only lettuce and ketchup for my son. The waiter brings him a full fledge burger with everything on it. I tell him that my order was wrong and that I ordered a burger with only lettuce and ketchup. He gets angry and start to give my wife and I attitude. He comes back with a burger without a meat patty and only lettuce and ketchup. I ask him what’s going and he replies; “didn’t you want a burger with only lettuce and ketchup?”Ok, but where is the meat? I ask.

He then flips!

Walks away cursing in French and brings back a black burned beef patty that is the size of two quarters and a bun of the size of a 200g burger and tells my son “here is you pretty little burger with only lettuce and ketchup”. What did my poor son do to him?

My five year old son had to leave this restaurant...

So I had a reservation to be lead to a table next to a family who's kids already had their bags on the table we have been pointed to. After being shown another table a chair was pulled out and a large menu in English was placed on it in front of us (see picture). While cleaning the table next to us a waitress knocked said menu then stared at us as if we had knocked down the sign.

After about a 25 minute wait we were finally asked if we'd like any drinks (the menu for which I had to ask for after the first 15 minutes). Took my girlfriend here for her birthday... Which has now been ruined and I'm yet to get to the food. Disappointing would be an understatement.

Fine food if your just in the hotel above... Horrible place if you're from somewhere outside....

My husband and I were staying at the hotel and we had a reservation, once we got there and half an hour passed by without any staff acknowledge us… my husband had to stand up and ask the server to take our order. The server said “we have a lot of people” like, sorry that’s not my problem, hire more staff or at least say that you are bussy and we can wait. But the fact that no one even said anything is disturbing!!! Once we order it took them another 40 minutes to bring us just the drinks!!! I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Very rude staff...
