The worst 5 stars Hilton we have been ever stayed, which doesn’t even worth 3 stars. First of all when we arrived none of the staff offered help with our luggages, especially staff by the entrance were watching my wife was struggling with the luggage. No greeting at all times during our stays. We booked two separate rooms, which in the other room our friend was staying. upon check in Lika was very helpful and respectful, however the room that our friend checked in at first on 16th floor was extremely dirty with black shoes mark on the floor, dirty carpet and sofa. Upon our request, they changed the room. The major problem started when our friend supposed to check out one night earlier than us. On her check out day one of the receptionist which unfortunately don’t remember the name told us that we need to check out from our room and move to our friend’s room. I need to mention both rooms were on the 19th floor and same type of room. We agreed to do that as we didn’t want to bother them. However we asked her to make sure we receive a clean room with change of bedsheets and towels, and she assured us that she make sure housekeeping change the bedding and towels. This was upon check out at 12 noon. We went outside and back around 5pm, the bedsheets weren’t changed and they were only tidied, we know as there were dirt marks on the sheets and pillow cases, also there were no fresh towels. My wife went to reception and asked them again, and they told her, will ask housekeeping to change the bed sheets. Finally when we returned to the room at 10pm still the bedsheets weren’t changed no towels as well. When my wife and I went to reception and complained, there was an extremely rude receptionist “Megi” while we were talking to her, she was rolling her eyes and talking in Georgian with another staff passing by, in the middle of the conversation. I never encountered such a behavior in anywhere! We stayed in Hilton Garden inn Tbilisi before going to Batumi, and it was extremely pleasant and clean with friendly and helpful staff. Eventually the housekeeping came and changed the bedsheets while we were in the room. The next day as our flight was late, we stored our baggages with concierge. When we went to pick them up, the staff asked me to follow him to the room and pick the luggages myself! I don’t think this should be allowed anywhere and not expected such a service from “5 stars” hotel. Executive lounge has a lovely view, however in terms of nibble options and service during happy hours could be much better. In addition we enjoyed our dinner at the Sky bar, amazing view and ambiance, with very nice and friendly staff. Also breakfast team were helpful and overall good amount of breakfast options. All in all this hotel needs a lot to improve to be part of Hilton and 5 stars. I wouldn’t...
Read moreHilton Batumi is a terrible hotel to stay at. We had booked Junior suite and the room is on the 17th floor at the corner. The view is very good but everything about the room is lacking. There is a round pillar and sofa built around it that blocks a good bit of space. Kid bed had to be put right after the room entrance wherein the pillow would be positioned facing the bathroom door and rest of the bed is parallel to luggage room! The bathroom blinds dont close fully and so it is ok for a couples room but not for booking for family with teens etc. It looks like a room built to use up the space to earn some extra money without any thought on aesthetics. Suite qualifies for lounge access but the lounge food has hardly any vegetarian options. ||The reception folks have zero sense of hospitality and have a face expression translating to 'why did these people come here!' Breakfast area is too small to accomodate a booked hotel and people were left running around to get a table as no one was there to manage tables or seating. The staff present couldnt care less that many guests were standing and trying to grab seating themselves. ||They have a room service number but if you call them for anything they will in turn ask you to call the reception and inform - then why have a room service number at all? Our room curtain was dangling as they had come off the fasteners and eventually fell off. When we asked for it to be fixed, they took away the entire curtain and so we had to fiddle around with the rest of the curtain to darken the room at night. ||This was icing on the cake - room service did not stock toilet paper after cleaning the room. When we called room service they had us call reception - finally reception sent a guy with toilet paper and after handing it he did a hand gesture asking for a tip!!! These guys have been the worst in hospitality!! Didnt expect this kind of behaviour at a reputable place like Hilton. ||The only saving grace for this hotel is their rooftop restaurant Nephele. All staff there are very courteous, handle the tables well and the food is amazing! Special shout out to restaurant staff Sandro and Chef Thatia, who are very dedicated and do...
