I found this place pretty strange. Its a small hotel with big useless lobby. Useless because there is nothing downstairs - it feels like some tv room or airport where none sit. There is no bar or restaurant. The room was worn out - the same the corridor. Im not sure how someone could invest money to open the place with some nice furniture but let it go so hard. It was stained and disreapaired. They gave me bigger room - that was nice but i booked room with bathtub and there was no room like this free. It feels like this mysterious Amsterdam "management" doesnt care at all about their places. It was quiet because there was no party people - but you can hear almost everything when people talk. It felt also not so professional - more like friends stay - where you on your own than a hotel. I paid special price so it was fine but i wouldnt pay 110 or 130 euro to stay there

It's my second visit to this hotel and I can't understand why it has such ratings on booking.com For the price of 69 euros I get a clean room, a comfortable large bed, a spacious bathroom, coffee and tea making facilities. The view of the courtyard guarantees me peace and quiet, and if I feel like nightlife: it doesn't take more than 5 minutes to walk to places where you can party. The largest subway station in the Schoneberg district "nollendorfplaz" is 300m from the hotel. The staff is friendly, helpful. Nothing bad has ever happened to me in this hotel. If someone is looking for a 5-star for €69, Bangkok has a lot of such offers but this is Berlin

Okay nice hotel with a good breakfast. But do avoid the cheapest rooms. They are in the basement, which is smelly. Even if the ventilation was running from I arrived until I left, the smell continued, and I woke up with a heavy head. The rooms in the basement are also very small and cannot accommodate two people. I traveled alone, so the size was small but okay. My guess is, that other rooms are better.

I sent the following email 7 times since my stay, and still not had a reply, so i think that tells you all you need to know about how they treat their guests. I even advised the receptionist of the email before I left, and was told it would be passed to the manager, so either it wasn't, or the manager just doesn't care.||I have also sent 2 messages via Facebook to the hotel group, and guess what.... no reply. They clearly just have no courtesy to respond, or don't care.||Dear Sir or Madam||On Sunday, and again on Monday I sent you 2 emails to complain about the horrible visit I had this weekend at your hotel. I don't the receptionist and she said she would pass it on to her manager. 8 days later I have not received a reply. As you will see from the original emails:||- the noise was loud and constant from 7am all through the day and night|- there was an alarm going off all Sunday night in the boiler room opposite my room|- the room was dirty and marked|- the shower smells terrible from the drains|- the shower door leaks onto the floor, making it dangerous and slippery with no shower mat provided|- the TV was broken|- the WIFI signal was too low to work|- and the complimentary toiletries we not there||I have given you every opportunity to respond to my email and multiple issues before I upload a post with pictures and video to trip advisor, but this has not happened. ||Please could you give me the email of your main head office for customer complaints? ||The guest experience that was provided was terrible, and not what was advertised on...

I see the Quentin Design has several poor ratings, no doubt reflecting times when it fell short, but I’d like to offer my good experience. Yes, the hotel is more than 20 years old so it’s a little tired looking (though certainly not dated or jaded) - but it still has much going for it. I found the staff very accommodating - I stayed for a week, and I needed several things throughout and they were great each time. For a few days I stayed in one of their larger rooms (gorgeous) and then later on in one of their very small rooms - which was great value for money and very comfortable with more than just the basics (it had a kettle, a desk, a great shower, good big window etc). The neighbourhood is safe and full of nice cafes and near to transport and many big ticket places. The garden at the back of the hotel is gorgeous - and I was allowed to do several hours of online work there the day I checked out and I was made to feel 100% welcome. Most of all, the prices were very competitive compared to other places - I agree that a very high price for a room at the Quentin may not be entirely justified, but at good value for money it was a 5 star stay for me and I will definitely stay again (and I have...

The check in went flawless and the reception staff are friendly and accommodating.

We asked for a room with a balcony because we didn't want to go outside on the ground floor every time we wanted to smoke. The double glazing blocks all noise from the street.

The room is spacious with a very comfortable king size bed with good white linnen. The airconditioning was quiet and effective for the first few days.

The room has a large Samsung Smart TV on which you can watch Netflix without any issues as the free WiFi is superfast.

Inside the cupboard is a safe and a stocked bar fridge.

The bathroom is spacious with a bathtub/shower, toilet and washbasin with a large mirror. The water pressure and hot water is very good.

Rooms are serviced daily and the staff are friendly and accommodating.

The airconditioning stopped cooling after a few days and wasn't fixed, even after reporting it twice. This was very uncomfortable when the room temperature went up to 29ºC. We tried to sleep with an open balcony door and window which was impossible due to all the noise...
