Me, my husband and our cat stayed at Brera Leipzig in August and September 2020 for almost 1,5 months.
Basically we loved everything about our stay.
The location is just unbeatable, perfect for exploring Leipzig on foot – in the very heart of the city, a short walk from just about anything one might need. Shops, bars, restaurants, popular attractions, even the railway station – all of this is no more than some 5-10 minutes away from the apartment building. The main square (Markt) is only 3 minutes away.
The apartments themselves are airy and sunny, very pleasant to stay in, and, most importantly, very well thought through. They have everything to make a long-term stay feel comfy and convenient. Kitchens are extremely well-equipped: with all the cooking utensils and appliances, including a nespresso coffee machine, a dishwasher and a microwave oven. And! There is a laundry room in the basement which is very convenient as well.
But what made our stay so special was the staff, of course. Everyone at Brera was just great! The managers, Christoph and Susanne, are always friendly, kind and very helpful. And, as we don’t speak German yet, we had to ask for their help quite a lot. They try to respond to the emails and answer all the questions ASAP. It was definitely a pleasure to meet them!
For sure I’d be happy to recommend Brera to the...
Read moreI'm torn on what to rate this because it delivered on what it promised, but I did not enjoy my stay.||I got unlucky in that I arrived, in the rain, on a Tuesday in March which meant no-one was in house to welcome me. If you have used the hotelbird app before or regularly stay in accommodation where you check yourself in and out then it is probably what you expect, but I did not like the lack of interaction and having to read a 6-instruction manual and, call a number and get put on hold just to get through the front door.||I stayed in a "comfy" apartment. It wouldn't surprise me if this is rebranded student accommodation, it is bland aesthetically.||The kitchen equipment I must say is very good, I happily cooked myself a small meal and just had to pop the equipment in the dishwasher that evening.||I think the TV is in a bad place, at a weird angle from the dining table, and that it would be better facing the bed. Currently, there is a mirror facing the bed, which if you like that sort of thing then enjoy yourself but I found it weird. Also, the place could do with a suitcase stand.||If your first priority in leipzig is to stay somewhere cheap or somewhere with a kitchen then I think this is a great option, but otherwise I wouldn't...
Read morePersonally I enjoyed staying 2 month in Brera apartments. First of all the personnel is very friendly and ready to help with everything! Thank you Susanne, Marie, Yvonne and Christoph for making our stay so pleasant!
The atmosphere is apartment is cozy, you need everything you need there for long-stay living. Yvonne was helping with the cleaning, thank you for that!
We were lucky with the room which has windows on 2 sides - that really helped during the hot summer days! Secondly, we lived on the 4th floor and there was no noise or bad smells from the shisha club below. Anyway, the building has thick walls, we never heard our neighbors!
The location is great! Although the building is really old, everything is organized in a pretty convenient way. We could store our bikes and other private stuff, do washing.
There was only one accident during our stay: my husband was frying sausages and, unfortunately, the alarm system (which is really sensitive) switched on. Thanks to Susanne, nothing bad...
