Enchilada Leipzig — Restaurant in Leipzig

Best Mexican food in Germany!!!!! My husband and I went there for the first time last night after a long day, being from Arizona and having had traditional Mexican food, I missed it a lot. We were not disappointed! We got the Burrito Suprimo and the Chimichanga, both of which were excellent and very filling! For drinks we got the Homemade Peach Iced Tea and a Pink Grapefruit Palamo. Presentation was very nice! The only complaint I might have about my dish is that I wish they came with more tortilla chips, but other than that, they were top!! I know there's alot of reviews complaining about the authenticity of the food, but honestly it's really darn close. It'd be hard to find more authentic Mexican food here. The icing on the cake was the Churros!! THE BEST I've ever had!! My husband and I were raving about them all night! Service was wonderful, very quick and friendly! The atmosphere of the restraunt is very night-life, which we didn't mind, although it was a bit loud for us, we still enjoyed our time and believe it is very much worthy of a five...

Terrible service by our waiter - Alejandro. This was back in September on our visit to Leipzig.

I ordered a Margarita, asked him for this to be on-the-rocks and salt-on-the-rim. He actually told me he could not do salt-on-the-rim !! I was completely taken aback, I have travelled around the world and have never heard this answer.

10-15 minutes later Margarita was delivered by a sweet waitress - I asked her to get salt on the rim. She went back to the bar and got me glass of Margarita with salt on the rim, as it should be.

Later when the food took forever to come I told Alejandro to cancel our food order, we will pay for the Margarita and leave. At this point, he was RUDE, literally ordering me to sit down. I have never, ever received such poor service, anywhere in the world.

I am Mexican, and I was expecting that the typical dish that gives name to this place would be the best.. But unfortunately it was not like that. The "enchiladas" are not in a real sauce... It is a painted green tortilla. I understand that I am not in Mexico, but even the "red sauce" was kind of ketchup without chilli. I did not finish my dish because it was not tasty at all... Very disappointed that this place being in one of the best spots in Leipzig, is not showing real Mexican food. Even my boyfriend who is German was expecting a little bit of spicy flavor. The only reason I give a star is because the service is good and the drinks are acceptable... They have "happy hour"and good location; maybe these are the reasons they have such a good rating. But if you are Latino or someone who really wants to eat Mexican food, do not eat there... There are more places with a better...
