We had a very good 2-night stay at Kronosar with our boys (ages 3.5 and 7.5) and highly recommend the property and Europa Park in general. It would have been a nearly flawless experience were it not for repeated hotel transportation snafus. ||Overall, the property is beautiful, well-maintained and very clean. It is, by far, the best theme park hotel we’ve ever stayed at. ||We booked directly through the hotel website. It was a little confusing to book, as the rooms are priced per-person, rather than a nightly room rate, and there isn’t a ton of transparency around the configuration of each room. We booked a “presidential suite” that could easily sleep 6 and was perfect for our party of 5. Our room - the “Nobel Suite” - was on two floors, with the lower level entrance leading directly into what looked like a normal hotel room with a large bed for 2 people, though there was a staircase against one wall that lead to the second level open living room with sofa and tv (open to the room below, without ability to close any doors). The second floor also had a bunk room with two bunk beds and a sliding barn door for privacy, as well as a separate bedroom suite with door, bed for 2 and a very spacious bathroom. In total, there are two bathrooms in the suite - one on each level. The suite was well maintained with nice materials, comfortable beds and good bathrooms. ||We especially liked the adjacency of Rulantica, which is the most incredible indoor water park we’ve ever seen. We bought admission for both nights of our stay, which both adults and kids enjoyed. Staying at Kronosar, you trade some convenience of having to take a shuttle to Europa Park for the convenience of being adjacent to Rulantica, which we thought was a fair trade. It’s nice to be able to leave the water park in the evenings and walk next door to shower and get ready for bed in your own hotel room. ||The only complaint with Kronosar is various issues we had with transportation that was all organized by the hotel. First, on our arrival day we needed to be picked up about 20 minutes away from the hotel. I had reached out to the hotel via email to coordinate transportation with an agreed upon pickup time of 10:30am, which was further confirmed via email with the hotel just prior to our arrival. On the arrival day, however, we were left waiting for nearly an hour to be picked up. To make matters worse, I called the hotel and they said they’d call me back with an update, but they never did, nor did anyone ever apologize for this. ||Second transit issue, the Europa Park buses linking the hotel to the amusement park can be a total zoo that brings out the worst in people. They were often very crowded, and once there were too many people and we couldn’t even board the bus when it arrived, and another experience where an upset woman getting off the bus literally and aggressively shoved us out of her way. ||Third transit issue, the night before our departure I went to the front desk to confirm a taxi for our drive to the nearby train station the following morning for our 9:58am train. The front desk guy advised a 9:30am pickup would provide ample time to get to the station and he confirmed the taxi had been ordered. Surprise surprise, the next morning the taxi never came, and to make matters worse, the front desk team just waived me away when I asked for help. Finally, after my third time asking the front desk for help at 9:45am (13 min before our train’s departure), a guy came out and offered to drive us in the hotel shuttle. We arrived at the station literally moments before the scheduled departure. ||Overall, despite the transit issues, it’s an amazing property. We’d love to return again in another...
Read moreWe stayed two nights at this hotel as part of a package including two days at Europa-Park. Sadly, our experience was marked by a series of disappointments that overshadowed the positives.||The trouble started right at check-in. As a family of five, the only option offered was two separate rooms. Despite the hotel having all our details, they somehow booked our kids together in one room and us parents in another. This misstep triggered a frustrating chain of events.||We had planned to take advantage of early park entry, as advertised, but it didn’t work. After multiple calls and suggestions to update the freshly downloaded hotel app, we were finally told we needed to physically check in the second room to activate all tickets. This required downloading the app again on a second device and repeating the check-in – all just to access tickets we had already paid for months ago. In the end, we only got into the park at 11:30 instead of 8:30. Totally unacceptable.||Evening check-in at the front desk wasn’t any smoother. Initially, we were given only one room key and had to argue our case for the second room – again, despite the booking details being correct.||Throughout the stay, we were left to figure things out ourselves. No one explained the facilities, and we only discovered the hotel’s kid-friendly activities on the day we were leaving. There are two restaurants, but no info on which to go to – just more confusion.||Breakfast was another low point. Advertised from 7–10am, it was chaotic regardless of when we showed up. Queues of up to 30 minutes despite plenty of open tables. Food was basic continental fare, repeated both days, with very limited allergy-friendly options – and little to no staff knowledge or assistance if you have dietary needs. Good luck finding water or coffee unless you’re ready to queue again at the coffee bar. No hot food made to order either.||Rooms were clean but very small. Blackout wasn’t possible due to hotel lighting and thin curtains. If you open the window, be prepared for loud music and a nearby waterfall running on repeat. Not ideal for light sleepers.||The spa and fitness areas, advertised for ages 16+, were actually restricted to 18+, disappointing our teens. We ended up at Rulantica instead, where, surprisingly, there were no special perks for hotel guests. While a bathrobe was provided in the room, there were no slippers – not great when you’re crossing to a waterpark.||The hotel bills itself as a “museum hotel,” and it definitely lives up to that. It’s dark, themed, and filled with odd decor. Our daughter found it eerie, though the boys liked the quirky vibe.||Overall, the hotel may work better for Rulantica visitors, but it’s not a good match for Europa-Park guests. The lack of organization, communication, and family-friendly service really dragged down what could have been...
Read moreI got a chance to stay 2days and 1 night to #Europapark's newly built hotel #Krønasår in the entrance hall this titanic skeleton of the legendary Sea Serpent Svalgur will welcome you, I bet this will be the 1st picture you will take aside from the view of the entire hotel outside before you go inside.
I took a lot of picture as much as possible to give you guys a little bit of impression of their newly Hotel. Their waiting area is really nice and comfy couches but i am not sure if this small waiting area can accommodate to all their guess given the fact their rooms are full (according to the receptionist) the 1st 3 days from the time they open.
Come with their room, their bed are not that far from the quality in their other hotels not really fan of their bed for it is not that comfy to sleep, given the price, it will be good if they can improve more of this part since it is always good to have a good sleep after the long tiring day walking, riding and falling in line in the park. Anyway back to the room, as usual they all have theme in every hotel, in this hotel where we checked-in it is Scandinavian touch, you will see it with the design and color combination.
Food, food, food the most important part of stay is the food. They have fine dining restaurant, they have bar, they have confectionery (which closes at 18.00), and the ala cart restaurant of course we go to ala cart and try their food. Which i somehow disappointed, their food is so lala (its ok) nothing special i must say. Or maybe i just lost my appetite after i find something inside my food ohhh my its an (UFO) lol you can see on my picture below there is a piece of sharp broken plastic, i guess that comes from a tupperware or so. We complaint about it and they immediately offer for a replacement of the same food. Lol
Over all I say, I like Krønasår more than the other hotel they have (except to Bell Rock since i havent tried it there yet) coz here is more chill feeling, no rushing feeling unlike the other hotels people seems like always in a hurry, in a hurry to eat and get food that its seems the food is running out so soon. Here you can feel relaxed and feeling that you are really on a holiday. I hope it will stay this way.
Insider tip: if you plan to buy an entrance ticket do it here coz we thought we can buy the ticket in Andalus Hotel but unfortunately it is not actually possible but since Krønasår hotel is far from the park and the shuttle bus drive every 15 minutes to and fro we ask if we can buy the ticket to Andalus hotel, 1st they said its not possible but after a long try they allowed us to buy it there. If this will happen to you guys, try to ask it politely and friendly for sure they will...
