Kastalia Boutique Hotel — Hotel in Delphi Municipality

This hotel is very nice, they offer free full buffet breakfast included with the room price and the price for 1 night (on 19 Sept 2022) was only €55, which is very inexpensive. The beds are ooohhh soooo comfy and soft and I slept like a baby. I can not reiterate how comfy the beds are, unlike most beds at the other rentals that are hard and hurt my hips. The bath tubs are big and do have a shower head nozzle. The room itself is small, but you do have a hot water kettle, 2 bottles of water, instant coffee, sugar, and cream in the room. The mountain views from the open restaurant seating area is so amazing and we really enjoyed it, even though it was a bit cool at 7:30 AM and at 7:00 PM. Dinner options were ok, the fish was very good, the morning breakfast buffett is really good and you have to try the orange cake, it is oh so good! They do have someone there to make your coffee to order, the eggs are really good, fresh farm eggs! I checked out other hotels to see if their beds were hard or softer and most are hard, so If you are looking for a comfortable plush bed, this is the place to go! Upon arrival at the hotel, I was informed by the receptionist that for 2 out of the 3 reserved rooms, the hotel did not have the confirmed type. Furthermore, the room types we were allocated did not match the ones reserved in terms of room size and amenities and upkeep was below expectation. My concerns were immediately reported to the staff and confirmed by the receptionist, who stated that the hotel, by offering different room standards, only displays photos of rooms with a higher standard on booking platforms. Subsequently, the receptionist proposed a solution involving vacating the rooms and receiving a full refund, while offering assistance in finding alternative accommodation. This solution was highly debatable and not accepted by me. Booking a specific property and standard of accommodation three months in advance is precisely to avoid the hassle of finding suitable lodging on the day of arrival. You can get better accommodation for less. We booked a room that was supposed to have free parking, queen bed and a view, We didn't get any. Instead, we got a room that looked like a basement (in a lower level) that had a wall view. The queen bed was two twins put together (extra old and uncomfortable), and the free parking was public parking in the street-which is almost impossible to get. The receptionist solution was to wait all night, for someone to leave. We had to park far away and carry the luggage by ourselves to the hotel. The room was nothing like it looked in the pictures. Everything was old and worn out, including an analog TV that didn't turn on. The worse part was that when we expressed our concerns, we were offered to upgrade for 15 euros- in order to get the queen bed and the view, that we already paid for. Moreover, we were scolded the next day by the manager for trying to work out our differences. She argued that we could always upgrade for a fee! Totally ruined the...
