My wife and I stayed here for the whole month of August 2023 for our honeymoon. We are from Canada.
Rooms
Pros:
AC worked excellently and this is a big plus because it gets very hot in Delphi in August and the hotel lobby and staircase can get humid. I have not had another AC this powerful and I visited a much more expensive hotel in Naxos in the same month.
Cons:
I killed a spider on the floor of the room and in 10 minutes a swarm of ants was dissecting it. On the balcony I dropped some food and ants rushed on it just as quickly – I have not experienced this in a hotel before.
In our last week, there was a smell emanating from the water in the shower and my wife did not use the shower on the last day.
Sound also travels all throughout the hotel despite Expedia listing this property as having soundproof rooms.
Service
Pros:
The people at the front desk are very nice and they pointed out the close by landmarks that we could see. Anytime we had a question they were there to help.
Cons:
Front desk would not accommodate on one point: refunds. This hotel requires you to pay the full amount once you enter and we booked it for a whole month. When we wanted a refund on a few days of our stay to go to another place (Naxos), we were denied. We called Expedia, they called the hotel and asked but we were still denied.
In the first 3 weeks the cleaning service ladies (who cleaned from roughly 11:30am to 3:00pm) would come into our rooms without knocking! From week two we became concerned and started putting out the “Do Not Disturb” sign which still wasn’t followed. Only in our last week did they start to knock before entering. Also, they would insist on cleaning when we were using the room. One time my wife just left the shower and we were urged to allow the cleaning ladies inside to clean. This is not what I expected after paying for a hotel room.
We left Fedriades at 6:00am on August 31. On the night before we were kindly told by the manager not to leave on an empty stomach and that breakfast would be ready at 6:00am the next day so we could quickly eat and leave. On the next day in the morning, the manager informed us that breakfast would be ready at 6:20am without explanation or apology. I considered this unprofessional and since we were on a tight schedule we had to leave for Athens International Airport (a 2 hour drive) on an empty stomach.
Location
Pros:
The Sanctuary of Apollo, lol pllll lol Pronaia, and several other historically significant locations are several minutes drive from the hotel.
Arachova is a nice place nearby and we had an exoerience that we have never had before at a restaurant there called To Tsoukali.
The view from the balcony was not full but it was nonetheless phenomenal. I would highly recommend it!
Cons:
The food in Delphi is mostly sub-restaurant grade by Toronto Canada standards. The quality is noticeably low in most establishments. Notable exceptions are Elia, Telescope Café, Astra and To Patriko Mas.
There is no laundry service in Delphi and the closest service is in Itea which is 20 minutes away by car and requires laundry pickup the next day.
Many store owners attempted to pressure us to make purchases. The sales tax is oppressive at 25% and owners in Delphi have a tough time but this does not justify this pressuring. Not all owners did this, some were very accommodating and nice. It is possible to bargain down almost any price. Be wary but curious at the same time.
Bottom line: Fedriades is a good hotel to stay at for 4 days maximum. This is more than enough time to enjoy the sights around and the decent amenities...

We are experienced travelers so know what to expect.|- First of all there was no offer to help with luggage when we checked in, we carried the bags up to the 3rd floor by ourselves|- The WiFi password did not work the first 5 times.
