So this hotel is really nice. The customer service was amazing. The morning staff guy was super nice, kind, and helpful. The lounge downstairs is very nice and comfortable, and they have a bar. They have a board game fireplace and a small library area. They rooms were clean. DEAR OWNER PLEASE GO TO EVERROOM AND PUT SOMETHING UNDER ALL THE FUNNITUE they make lots of noise on the floor and doesn't sound good and the floors are tiles. The bathroom was very mini small bath small skin and please manager the shower heads make water go everywhere check room 206 i also heard that from other guess on the 3rd floor. I think room 206 and room 306 the best views facing the valley and water in the nearby town. Also the key pad for the doors give alot of people issues you can hear them from in your room.. PLEASE UPDATE KEY PAD... Breakfast was amazing they have a little bit of everything highly recommended to add it to your invoice. I would definitely stay again in the future. The hotel is wheelchair accessible. A box of tissue and a kettle would have made the rooms better 👌

One star less for the bedroom layout. Quite tiny so it is quite hard to move about. The bathroom is quite small too. There is no shower curtain and the existing shower screen covers just one quarter of the tub. Best advice- clear out all the towels and floor cloths before showering especially if you plan to use the rain shower. Room is clean. It is well kept and slightly aged. Sheets and towels are fresh. The sunset view from the room was just breathtaking. Breakfast was amazing and well appreciated. A wonderful spread of simple pastry, fresh fruits and yogurts and cereals. There is private parking available but only limited spaces available- first come first serve though. It is just some space in an abandoned lot a few shops before the hotel but you can park anywhere along the road side for free. Wifi is free. Service is very friendly.

Wonderful location, gorgeous view, and delicious continental breakfast. Best AC unit in room that we have had in Greece so far. The gentleman who appeared to be the owner, Babis, welcomed us and checked on us several times throughout our short stay. The complimentary soaps were made with olive oil and smelled amazing. We weren't sure if we would be able to eat breakfast due to us leaving early but since we slept in, we were blessed with a tasty meal. Thank you Babis for your hospitality. -Alexander & Conchita

My wife and I stayed here for the whole month of August 2023 for our honeymoon. We are from Canada.

Rooms

Pros:

AC worked excellently and this is a big plus because it gets very hot in Delphi in August and the hotel lobby and staircase can get humid. I have not had another AC this powerful and I visited a much more expensive hotel in Naxos in the same month.

Cons:

I killed a spider on the floor of the room and in 10 minutes a swarm of ants was dissecting it. On the balcony I dropped some food and ants rushed on it just as quickly – I have not experienced this in a hotel before.

In our last week, there was a smell emanating from the water in the shower and my wife did not use the shower on the last day.

Sound also travels all throughout the hotel despite Expedia listing this property as having soundproof rooms.

Service

Pros:

The people at the front desk are very nice and they pointed out the close by landmarks that we could see. Anytime we had a question they were there to help.

Cons:

Front desk would not accommodate on one point: refunds. This hotel requires you to pay the full amount once you enter and we booked it for a whole month. When we wanted a refund on a few days of our stay to go to another place (Naxos), we were denied. We called Expedia, they called the hotel and asked but we were still denied.

In the first 3 weeks the cleaning service ladies (who cleaned from roughly 11:30am to 3:00pm) would come into our rooms without knocking! From week two we became concerned and started putting out the “Do Not Disturb” sign which still wasn’t followed. Only in our last week did they start to knock before entering. Also, they would insist on cleaning when we were using the room. One time my wife just left the shower and we were urged to allow the cleaning ladies inside to clean. This is not what I expected after paying for a hotel room.

We left Fedriades at 6:00am on August 31. On the night before we were kindly told by the manager not to leave on an empty stomach and that breakfast would be ready at 6:00am the next day so we could quickly eat and leave. On the next day in the morning, the manager informed us that breakfast would be ready at 6:20am without explanation or apology. I considered this unprofessional and since we were on a tight schedule we had to leave for Athens International Airport (a 2 hour drive) on an empty stomach.

Location

Pros:

The Sanctuary of Apollo, lol pllll lol Pronaia, and several other historically significant locations are several minutes drive from the hotel.

Arachova is a nice place nearby and we had an exoerience that we have never had before at a restaurant there called To Tsoukali.

The view from the balcony was not full but it was nonetheless phenomenal. I would highly recommend it!

Cons:

The food in Delphi is mostly sub-restaurant grade by Toronto Canada standards. The quality is noticeably low in most establishments. Notable exceptions are Elia, Telescope Café, Astra and To Patriko Mas.

There is no laundry service in Delphi and the closest service is in Itea which is 20 minutes away by car and requires laundry pickup the next day.

Many store owners attempted to pressure us to make purchases. The sales tax is oppressive at 25% and owners in Delphi have a tough time but this does not justify this pressuring. Not all owners did this, some were very accommodating and nice. It is possible to bargain down almost any price. Be wary but curious at the same time.

Bottom line: Fedriades is a good hotel to stay at for 4 days maximum. This is more than enough time to enjoy the sights around and the decent amenities...

Here are the reasons for my rating.|My family had 3 rooms were reserved and there was something wrong with every room. We are experienced travelers so know what to expect.|- First of all there was no offer to help with luggage when we checked in, we carried the bags up to the 3rd floor by ourselves|- The WiFi password did not work the first 5 times. Hotel's response: that happens, keep trying. In fact this has never happened to me in any other hotel. Exactly the same password finally worked on hte 6th attempt. Then, when I was able to finally connect, the connection was very sporadic, and low speed, never made it to higher than 3Mbps on a google speed test.|- The in-room telephone did not have any indication or marking of how to call the front desk. I tried zero, and after many rings it disconnected. I started trying other single numbers and finally the number nine worked to reach the front desk, though it was not marked anywhere on the phone. Frustrating.|- Room 1 assigned to kids was a smoking room, even though non-smoking had been specifically reserved, and it smelled of smoke. We had to go through the trouble of changing rooms and moving our own luggage from the smoking room to another room.|- Room 2 had a mechanical problem with bathroom door and became stuck from the inside. I could see the latching mechanism was broken and jamming|- Room 3 A/C remote did not work. The front desk clerk came up and he spoke angrily with me and accused me of changing the settings on the remote control. In fact the reason I had called him up to the room was that the remote was not controlling the A/C. It already wasn't working, nothing to do with me. The clerk was very rude to me during this interaction and raised his voice.|- Room 3 fridge did not work. The fridge was plugged in and lighted but it did not cool any small drinks and waters. The front desk clerk, the same one who was rude about the A/C, came to the room, appeared bothered by the request, and angrily tried to adjust the settings on the fridge. He then said it would start cooling. More than 1hr later, the fridge still didn’t cool any drinks. Hotel response - walk 3 floors down and put drinks in the bar fridge. I didn't...
