НЕ ПРЕПОРЪЧВАМ ! We booked this property 4 months in advance and paid the full amount upfront. It was advertised as suitable for two couples, but that’s completely misleading.
What we got was a small space with only one bathroom and toilet, and two attic-style bedrooms without any doors, connected by an unsafe staircase with no railings – extremely dangerous for children and inconvenient even for adults at night.
The house is unfinished, with visible signs of ongoing construction work. The yard is dark and has no lighting. There is a swimming pool that looks decent, but due to a power-saving schedule, the lights are turned off at midnight, even if guests want to enjoy the pool in the evening.
The parking is on a sloped field – very inconvenient and not safe. The TVs in the rooms are useless because there’s no internet connection.
When we expressed our disappointment and asked for a refund so we could move elsewhere, the host was rude and uncooperative. He refused to return the money and instead suggested we pay for an extra room, knowing well that the original setup wasn’t suitable for two couples.
This experience was extremely disappointing. Final score: 2/10.
My advice: If you still decide to book this place, do it through Booking.com, where you have better protection and the chance to get your money back in case of false advertising. Do not risk booking directly...
Read moreHands down, the owner George/Georgios is the best part of Afytos—it did not hurt that his hotel was also the most beautiful one we stayed at in Greece. Even paradise resorts can feel unsettling if it feels worldly and has no soul—but George’s calm and peaceful presence was what made it a unique experience. He was kind, calm, responsive (we booked the hotel last minute and still everything was perfect and immaculate when we arrived). He is genuinely caring, responded to questions right away. His hotel is the most visually stunning and beautiful. The pool overlooks the ocean and we had unobstructed views of the picturesque blue from our balcony. The instruction sheets in the room are comprehensive; and I appreciate how energy is conserved and the air conditioner responds to open and closed windows. Bottom line: best owner, most visually stunning hotel, perfect location near great restaurants but away from crowds, beautiful facilities, pool and sea view, immaculate, perfect service. My family is very grateful for this experience at the Blue Dream...
Read moreFirst the good: -the owner is nice and welcoming -the atmosphere is romantic and calm, perfect for relaxing -the pool is clean with luxury sunbeds and has awesome view over the sea and Sithonia, the same view also have all the rooms. -the cleaning is done everyday which is very good.
The bad: -rooms are super small to the point that they are only really usable for sleeping. Also the furnishing is rather cheap. -the whole area around the pool and the hotel looks unfinished and needs a lot of work -shade for the cars will be a good touch -the umbrellas on the pool don't make good shade. -shops for basic needs such as water, ice tea or some small snacks are only accesible by car(will be good to have at least water for sale in the hotel)
Wishing all the best to the owner and I hope he improves the hotel for...
