Misleading presentation of the place - chose it because it seemed to have its own beach with sun beds, which didn’t turn out to be the case. You can use the public beach subject to availability, but the hotel itself doesn’t have a beach.
Due to limited availability at the time of booking, we booked a quadruple apartment with two rooms for only two of us. I can’t imagine how 4 people would possibly be able to comfortably reside there. The bathroom was extremely tiny and uncomfortable. One can’t take shower without making everything wet. I cant imagine how would it be possible to shower a baby.
The bedroom was ok with plenty of space and furniture to store luggage. The second room, which seems to be designated for kids, however didn’t have almost any storage space.
Another downside was that the doors aren’t soundproof. You hear every door opening and step outside the apartment.
When we checked in and saw the bathroom, we looked up room availability and there was an available one which was even at cheaper price. We asked the receptionist to change the rooms without refund of the difference. She said we couldn’t do it as it was end of her shift (15 min before 9 pm) despite the fact we hadn’t used our room and no cleaning and preparation of it were needed. Upon check out, when another receptionist was on duty and asked me if everything was ok, the response I got was “this is the risk of booking economy”. Well, take the negative reviews and bad client experience as the risk of uploading...
Read moreOld and partly broken furniture. Lights were flickering from day 1, asked receptionist if it could be fixed, but they explained to me it is a problem of the regional electrical grid. Had a stormy evening and electricity went completely out in the whole building. Everyone else around us still had electricity and we had to wait a whole day long for it to come back. Asked for a refund or compensation if we go one day earlier due to the lack of electricity and the answer was "unfortunately not possible". Most places have a very bad or no phone reception at all. Location is not kid-friendly. There is really not much the kids can do, except for playing at the rocky beach in front. Taverns serve normal quality food, although I have seen much better places in Greece. If I ever have to come to the same region for a vacation again, I would directly go to Skala Fourkas. They had way better taverns, a lot more places for the kids to play, overall a way better atmosphere and even the nearby beaches there were way sandier, cleaner and bigger. You just don't get the necessary value...
Read moreOn booking.com nice pictures of the new building were shown. But when we got there we were taken to another older building. The room was ok, even it was not „luxury“ as expected. The worst thing for me was that there was no normal bathroom, there was only a small toilet with a shower head in the corner. So we had to shower above and beside the toilet. A nightmare for us with an 8-month-old baby and an 80-year-old grandma. When I confronted the provider, all they said was that this was the “Economy” room category for the four-bed room I had booked. I realize that the 4-bed-room I chose does not correspond to their “Garden View Suite,” but I assumed “quadruple room” refers to the size and number of beds and of course I expected a full bathroom. :(
So please just be aware what room category you book. „Economy“ does not match their luxury suites.
Positive points: Top location in the first row of the (stony!) beach, large balconies with sea view, daily cleaning service, super friendly and helpful staff, large flat screen TVs...
