Antoniadis — Hotel in Meteora Municipality

It was an amazing experience When we arrived we realized how much they cared in that they wanted us to use our own towels since they knew hotel towels a rougher. I had forgotten mine so they were so nice to bring me one anyway when I kindly asked them for one.

Th A/C almost worked after 3 attempts to fix it but the final solution was of course to use the beautiful natural ventilation system instead.

To give us a great feel for nature the toilet provided a constant stream of water to remind us of the beautiful nature just besides. But since it was a waste of water we mentioned it and then they of course made sure that it could not flush at all since that would save the water we were so concerned about.

Speaking of water, the shower floor was only half there so we could feel useful in helping the cleaning later by already wetting the floor with water. It is always nice feeling that you are contributing.

However, this room was so nice that we would love others to experience it so we went to the reception and told them how unworthy we were of such a great room and they graciously gave us another. Luckily that had such a small shower that we could still help with the cleaning of the bathroom which seemed to be needed.

The breakfast was amazing. I love water and that is just what their orange juice was. The bread was so hard that it could dent the table, so I took a piece with me because I do not like to be unarmed.

This hotel might once have been a 4 star hotel but in my heart it will always be a 5 star hotel. One for each star shining through the curtain since we only had one of two blackening...

Being there at 9-11 March 2019 with a group of tourists .||The Hotel is located at a very convenient point to walk over Kalambaka, and has two facades /sides ,the east and the west.||That means the west facade has the 70% of the Sun path as the east one is viewing the Meteors ,blocking at the very morning the Sun ...but giving an impressive view ..for the last floors by the roof.||We had a 1st floor corner room that was a little narrow with a balcony at the westside of the hotel facing a small playground park and the streets. Not any particular noises.||The lighting was poor even with eyeglasses was dificult to read, the tv set was old and the reception a few channels was poor.||wifi reception poor too..||The WC had a bath tub but the bathroom accessories were located in unhealpfull spots.||The closet was tiny for a 2 bed room and there was not a bench for the suitcases..giving extra fatigue to bend over them..||Heating over air conditioning and radiator with a thermostatic jack.||The Dining room was ok and the buffet adequate and tasty.||Helpfull staff.||Parking by the yard on the west side and...

Io ed alcuni miei compagni abbiamo pernottato fortunatamente solo per una notte in questo hotel. Partendo dall'aspetto sembra essere un luogo abbastanza fatiscente dall'esterno, una volta entrati l'interno non è da meno, pur avendo una reception confortevole, nel primo piano sono presenti numerose porte aperte che affacciano su malconci sgabuzzini, ed il bagno al piano terra sembrava essere abbandonato da qualche anno. Il primo problema è insorto già fin dall'inizio dato che dal nostro arrivo alle 14:40 abbiamo atteso un'ora prima di poterci sistemare in camera, ed avevano anche la pretesa di farci attendere all'esterno. Una volta saliti ad i piani superiori notiamo anche qui una serie di sgabuzzini incustoditi, le scale che collegano i piani sembravano le scale di casa di mia nonna e non mi ha fatto sentire veramente in un hotel 4 stelle. Parlando finalmente delle camere, sono un ambiente tutto sommato confortevole, un grande problema è stato fin dall'inizio che per entrare in una stanza bastava girare la maniglia, ed a meno che non si chiudesse con a chiave, la porta tendeva ad aprirsi da sola, in alcune stanze la maniglia si staccava anche. I bagni si sono rivelati orribili, nella mia stanza la luce aveva difficoltà ad accenderai, la doccia era estremamente angusta, nella mia camera una volta aperta l'acqua iniziava a scolare da tutte le tubature, alcuni miei compagni avevano invece docce dove non avevano l'acqua calda, altri invece di avere una doccia avevano una sorta do vasca in miniatura che era più piccola di un metro quadro. Alcune mie compagne invece avevano l'asciugacapelli che si smontava ed hanno riscontrato notevoli difficoltà. Parlando del servizio, io ed i miei comapgni abbiamo necessitavamo di alcuni asciugamani, i quali non ci erano stati forniti, una volta che ci siamo rivolti alle cameriere in inglese, quest'ultime pur avendomi compreso mi hanno risposto con una serie di "neh neh neh" sconnessi, ed ho dovuto interpretare quello che mi dicevano con i gesti. Il cibo è risulta accettabile, ma non era nulla di veramente ottimo, direi più che sembrava una pensa dei poveri, sicuramente non da un hotel 4 stelle come vogliono mostrare nell'insegna. Per quanto riguarda le attività che si potevano svolgere nelle vicinanze, nei pressi dell'hotel è presente un viale con svariati negozi, abbastanza carino e rilassante, sicuramente si gode di un'ottima vista sulle adiacenti meteore, certamente una meta da visitare, ma nei pressi sono presenti molti altri hotel che si mostrano di gran lunga migliori rispetto a questo. Grave problema era infine una rampa di scale di servizio credo, una specie di ghioccola di scale arrugine in metallo che si "celava" dietro una porta adiacente alla mia stanza, la quale porta risultava aperta, per non parlare delle conduttore che erano facilmente accessibili...
