Elena Guesthouse — Hotel in Meteora Municipality

My family and I stayed here for 2 nights in April 2018 and were comfortable and happy with our choice. We were a little concerned at first as there was a bit of confusion in regards to our online booking. The hostess seemed concerned with our comfort and she proceeded to open each room to allow us to pick the room (or rooms) that woul$ best fit our group. The room we chose was pleasant enough with some good ways to store your luggage so that you weren’t tripping over it. We all slept well with decent beds, no noise and a cool room. We got the breakfast for the next morning but I can’t say that I would recommend it for the price. She even left a spare room open for us “until it is filled” so that we could have an extra bathrooms to use (3 women and my husband make for some interesting juggling of morning bathroom time. She also offered to let us use this second rooms balcony as it faced the mountains while ours did not. The hostess was very helpful providing us with maps, directions and suggestions about the town itself as well as the monasteries. Excellent accommodation and a place near Meteora in a quiet part of Kalambaka. We got a nice clean room that accommodates our family of four. It was like the pictures portrayed it sans the fire but I think though we thought it was cold it was not cold for that season. But there was a very efficient heater that kept us at just the right temperature. Our room did not have a view of the mountain peaks but our balcony had a picturesque view of the next village and it was quiet right what one could expect from a quiet mountain village.
