One of the workers here chased us down on a motorbike, after we PAID the right amount, and he said we were €5 euros short (we were not), and he intimidated us in a dark street late at night. We have never had an issue our entire time traveling in different European countries with just leaving the money on the table and then leaving the restaurant. But at this restaurant the worker chased us down on his motorcycle and was screaming at us that we were short money… we went back to the restaurant, and the server who actually served us said it was all good and that we were good to go. And then 5 mins later down another dark street, the guy on the motorbike followed us again and demanded for €5 euros. Felt like a robbery. Would not recommend this dangerous restaurant to anybody. They scam their customers. Also their food tastes so, so bad.
Update: On other review websites, I’ve seen many reviewers say that they steal from their clients often. Stay away, this isn’t their first...
Read moreI ate here last night in Kalambaka and checked the reviews once I got back to my hotel. I saw the 2 most recent reviews saying that this place is horrible and that they were cornered and stalked in the street by someone asking them to pay more on their bill.
I saw this couple last night and once they finished their dinner, I noticed that they did not ask for their bill but left some money on the table, then walked away. I’ve never seen this anywhere in the world, where you don’t even know your total but you just leave money on the table (according to their review, this is normal behaviour in Europe).
The owner noticed this, so he went to find them and asked that they come back to the restaurant to pay the proper amount.
It’s very sad that this couple tried to steal from a restaurant in foreign country, then complain about it by writing 1 star reviews, only because they got caught.
By the way, for my actual review of the food: the soup tasted very good...
Read moreStarted out amazing. Beautiful sunny day. Ordering was easy, simple Lenten fare. Vegetable soup that was fantastic with each bite the vegetables were distinct and flavorful. But, sadly after that it went downhill; ordered zucchini balls - what came out of the kitchen were (4) flattened, greasy discs that oozed grease so much so that I had to blot with tissues. I attempted to eat (1) hoping I wa ould be wrong but I was unable. Spoke with waiter and he took away. When it came time to pay - still on bill and cashier argued that it is my problem, PAY UP too bad. When I tried politely to explain the oil obviously not set at the correct temperature and probably the reason for excessive grease he became rude and aggressive. Too many wonderful restaurants in Kalambaka to waste time, money and peace of mind at this restaurant....
