My boyfriend and I were really looking forward to spending a few days at Epavlis Meteora Suites Hotel for my birthday. I had booked the Exclusive Double Room, which was advertised "at the time" to have a kitchenette, fireplace, jacuzzi, and what looked like amazing views of Meteora. When we arrived Spyros (the owner) asked us to take our car to a more convenient location to load our stuff in. The first thing that struck me as odd was the fact that he was leading us down stairs ,below ground level, to a room that clearly wasnt going to offer any nice views but we followed him. Once inside we were disappointed to find a room with no fireplace, kitchenette, and a trio of resident flies. When I asked Spyros about the room not being what was discribed he said that all of his rooms were full. The room was almost booked two months in advance but I guess he never thought to call us ahead of time and inform us about the changes. Maybe he felt that it was ok to just throw us in a dungeon. I eventually got on the phone with Travelocity to report the false advertisement and requested to be placed somewhere else. The process took about two hours and while I was on the phone with them, Spyros was also informed of our unsatisfaction by Travelocity. He called the hotel room phone and when my boyfriend answered he asked him why I was looking for things to complain about and if it was really necessary for me to have a kitchenette. Then he called a second time and informed my boyfriend that he did in fact have another room available but would only put us there if we paid more. His behavior was appalling and the worst hospitality that I have ever seen in Greece. Travelocity informed me that they only post descriptions that are directly sent from the hotel so the false advertisement was not their fault. In the end, they put my boyfriend and I in the Panaromic Suite at ||Theatro Hotel Odysseon which was conveniently located nearby. It was more expensive but Travelocity paid the difference for the inconvenience. The room, hotel, views, AND hospitality was everything we could want and more and I strongly recommend them for anyone that is looking to travel to the Meteora area. Thanks to Travelocity for turning a uncomfortable situation into a...

I have visited Meteora many times. And each time I tried to change hotels to add new impressions to the trip. And the most amazing thing is that in this fantastic place my intuition has never let me down and I was happy with the choice of hotels for the night. This time the same thing happened and I personally perceive it as a small miracle and a gift from above. My large family and I stayed at the Epavlis Meteora hotel and we were surrounded by such attention and care from the owner of the hotel - Spiros and his family. We all immediately had a feeling of home and comfort. Stylish, very comfortable, very conveniently located hotel in Kalambaka right at the foot of Meteora with spacious rooms and absolutely stunning views of the rocks and monasteries!!! Convenient parking, many delicious authentic Greek taverns nearby, Lidl supermarket. Delicious and varied breakfasts are served at the hotel at a convenient time for you in the morning. The owner of the hotel, Spiros, is a walking encyclopedia of monasteries, he will tell you everything you want to know, his English is excellent. The ride up by car is very convenient and takes no more than 7-8 minutes. If I were to describe this hotel briefly and succinctly, I would say: this is a great example of the love of the family that runs it for their business and their clients, each of whom becomes special and incredibly important to them. They are doing their best to make their clients leave Meteora and their hotel HAPPY. This is real, sincere Greek hospitality. Bravo Spiras! And bravo to your entire family. My warmest recommendations and hope to visit Meteora and this hotel again. Finally, I have found the perfect hotel in Meteora. Best wishes and love from France, the whole Kantarzhi...

Liked The Rooms were amazing with beautiful views of the Meteora on one side and the Kalambaka town with Snow capped mountains background on the other side. Our room had 2 balconies with tables to relax and even enjoy your food. It's secluded and super calming to stay there. All the amenities like AC, Heater, TV, Kettle, Dryer, Hot Water, Cups, Plates, etc are available. Mr. Spyros and his Wife (the Owners of the Hotel) make you feel at Home. Starting from receiving us at Bus Stop to dropping us back, we got the utmost care and assistance from the Hosts. Mr. Spyros gives a very good intro about the place and attractions around along with the route maps. We were overwhelmed when they even offered us winter clothes as were slightly underprepared for the weather. The breakfast is the best we had in our whole Greece tour. They have a huge list of options for Breakfast and let us choose our preferences. They also have Wine Cellar with a great wine collection, so make sure to check it out too. Would totally recommend the place, especially ones with their own vehicle. We rented a bike on the day we reached and it helped us a lot in making the most of the place. Disliked As beautiful as the location is, it's away from the center with hardly any stores/restaurants nearby. One needs a vehicle for sure to stay here as walking to the center every time you need something isn't ideal. The hotel doesn't have any restaurant inside, so except for breakfast may be some Toast/coffee/tea, we have to rely on the market area to access food.

This is the best place in Meteora, we have stayed here multiple times. The views from the room and the garden are just fantastic, you can see the rocks beautifully The owners are super nice and accommodating. They really care for their guests, have a lot of experience in hosting and are very knowledgeable about anything related to the area and more. The breakfast is super: great selection, fresh juice and more, and a great view. The last time we upgraded to the 2 level rooms, with the small bedrooms for the kids upstairs. We loved these rooms, the AC is great, the beds super comfortable and the bathroom is very nice. Again the views and the balcony are great. Location: the place is a 10-15 minute walk town, which makes the location nice and quiet. It is a down/uphill walk, so keep that in mind. Parking is free and right in front to the house. We have traveled to Greece almost 20 times, all over. We have stayed at many different places and researched even more: Epavlis suites our favorite.
