Hiona Seaside — Hotel in Municipality of Agios Nikolaos

Fabulous times at Hiona apartments, great atmosphere and Manos is very helpful and attentive. Even though it is not advertised as wheelchair accessible I am a wheelchair user and I manage here very well. Have been here a few times and Manos has very kindly had a couple of ramps made for the steps to our apartment which is adequate. The pool is amazing a good size and easy for me to get in and out with assistance. The view from the pool bar is amazing sea view of the beautiful turquoise Greek sea water. First time at Hiona, though we have been visiting Crete for 20 years. Let me say right off, Hiona is great! Manos, Eri and the team do a great job! Excellent location,great atmosphere.We have stayed in many self catering apartments, and Hiona is up with the best. and Manos puts on a Greek night about every other sunday and bar -b-q.Im normally a bit wary of these, but Hiona's is one of the best, with good food, and more importantly for me, Cretan musicians and dancers, rather than the usual bazouki music. We did not stay here so cannot comment on the rooms, but the pool and bar area are very clean, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is also very nice here. We stayed in a hotel up the road which had no pool or bar, so we found this place which let us use the pool as long as we were spending money. Well.. we made this our hotel away from hotel for the week. Great place, great people. Will try to book here...
