Rusteak — Restaurant in Municipality of Agios Nikolaos

Sadly disappointed, after reading so many positive reviews we were really looking forward to our meal here and initially all looked good, the setting is beautiful, the restaurant looks clean and well thought out and the first round of drinks were delicious and the starter was excellent, however after that things went downhill, the portion size was fine for the gyro but the pork medallions were served with a minimalist portion of rice, both dishes were heavily oversalted, the fries with the gyro were overwhelmed with paprika. I have been to the place before several times and it’s always been perfect. This time we booked 20pax to celebrate my mum’s birthday. As always it exceeded our expectations! The place and the views. Right on the beachfront, beautifully renovated place. The food delicious. Whatever we tried was mouthwatering, nicely cooked and fresh. It serves Mediterranean cuisine, all local products. Last but not least the service and the kindness of the family who runs the restaurant. Professionals in every aspect. Bravo!

Rusteak is the finest place you can eat in Elounda; run by a beautifully friendly family who go out of their way to make sure your needs are met. The quality of the meat is unsurpassable with the filet steak being the best I have ever tasted and the liver melts in the mouth. If you prefer a lighter meal, the meze choices and salads are generous and exceptionally tasty. If you eat anywhere, eat here. Bear in mind that everything is made from scratch and time must be allowed for the magic to happen in the kitchen! ...
