Elia Residences — Hotel in Municipality of Chania

The apartment deserves 4 starts and a half. Very nice place, very clean and the location is perfect just 1 min from the Nea Becah. If you are just looking for a confortable place without any intercation with the hosts, this is the perfect apartment. However, we had a bad experience with Elia "company". This is our 4th time in Chania, and we always rented apartments/ houses and we had very good experiences with the hosts who were very friendly, welcoming and warm people. We kept in touch with some of them. Unfortunatly, as we decided late to come back in chania, those houses were not available and Elia residence looked like a nice place! So the experience with ELia company was the opposite, despite the check-in with one employee who was very nice, the rest was like talking with your bank. Elia provided us 2 keys. One morningn we left the key in the lock inside the apartement, and we took the other key with us to have the breakfast ouside. BTW, the windows were open (we were in the last floor). when we returned to the apartment we were not able to open the door with the second key. We never had such experience even in our own house. When we called Elia, they said they will send an technician that will enter by the terasse. Just after I received an message saying that they will charge us because they need to remove the lock from the door and break it. They said it was obvious that the keys can't be left in the lock inside (even if we had another key). luckely, we managed to open the door, with the other key (Actually, we just didn't know how to enter it correctly :D) . When we told them that we were able to open they were like we didn't know that you have a second key.... Second very negative point. Our return flight was at 7:30pm and we asked if we can have a late check-out (3h30 pm). By the way, we always had a 7PM flight and the previous hosts were arranging and let us in the house until 5 pm! They said it is no possible because they had other guests and they offer a check-out at 12:30. so we left our luggage in the rented car which was parked just next the Elia residence. At 3:30 when we returned from the beach to change our clothes outside just next our car, what a suprise to see that our apartment wasn't even cleaned and there was no guests... (we left the drying rack outside and the windows of the bed room semi-open, and at 3:30 nothing changed). If you want to rent a apartment / house in Chania, I highly recommend you to rent via...

Location was really good. Beach on 250m, bakery on 100m, coffee to go on 150m, rent a car on 50m, pharmacy on 50m, gyros on 100m, supermarket on 200m. Clean , comfortable, washing machine, 2 big TVs, good...
