Falassarna Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Chania

Have just returned from a 10 night stay and was very happy with my holiday. The location, I considered excellent. It is in a quiet residential area but only 3 minutes to Neo Chora beach and its several excellent tavernas and about 15 minutes to the Venetian Harbour. The bus station was around 10 minutes walk. A quite large Synka supermarket was situated within 5 minutes if turning right from the hotel. On the same road were a myriad of interesting Greek shops and an Indian restaurant. ||The hotel and its rooms do not have loads of amenities but I found everything to be kept spotlessly clean. My room was quite spacious with a large balcony. The furniture was a little dated but with sufficient storage space and a comfortable bed. The bathroom seemed to have been recently updated and while compact, everything worked perfectly and there was always plenty of hot water at a good pressure. There was a small fridge which was very useful and the wifi worked perfectly for me. The flat screen TV just had local channels but provided something to watch. l only had the hotel breakfast one morning but it was perfectly acceptable and very pleasantly served. Indeed all the staff were very nice throughout my stay. I did not require any information from the hotel as I have visited Chania previously and knew my way around. ||I like running and it was very easy to do interesting circular routes from the hotel. Incredibly disgusting the way we were treated today by the reception, they comitted a mistake by letting us make a reservation for today, because it was already full, so we started discussing about our situation, 18pm of the afertoon, withouth hotel and withouth money, the solution of the girl of reception was. Give us the money in cash(because we explained to her that we have a problem with our debit card, so if she tried so returned us the money by booking of digitally, the money would never be returned). Or that she was going to pay for the accommodation next door using the money we had given her (which she had in her hotel account). So far so good, but from one moment to the next this girl disappeared, she was insulted outside and from one moment to the next we received that she cancelled the reservation and they were going to return the money (which we told her no since due to our problems the money was not going to arrive) all this without warning, question we had to go elsewhere without a hotel and without money since this girl disappeared...

Very good location in a quiet residential area and two minutes to Neo Chora beach and its selection of tavernas and bars.Old town about 15 minutes stroll and bus station slightly closer. Exceptional cake shop just across the road and large supermarket less than 10 minutes turning right from the hotel. Room was simply furnished but the bed was very comfortable and there is a fridge. Not many plug sockets if you have got many devices which need charging. Bathroom was compact but newly refurbished and everything worked well. The room was cleaned to a high standard daily. Only had breakfast one day but it was pleasant and charmingly served in the outdoor seating area. I didn't have to have much interaction with the staff as I am familiar with Chania and Greece.
