A nice little hotel right next to the beach and not so far from the old town (15 minutes walk). Our room was not too big however just the right size for a basically outdoor vacation for a week. The equipment of the room was minimalist, but we didn't miss anything essential. There was a small but strong refrigerator, an airconditioner, wardrobe, bed and some other smaller furniture, a bathroom with shower, toilet and hairdryer. There were also a table and two chairs on the balcony. Maybe a drying rack would have been great. The view from our room at the sea was very spectacular. The room was clean, the cleaning staff visited it every day. Air conditioner in case of only ventillation function (or also at not too low temperature) smelled not so good so we used it just for shorter periods to cool down the room. The breakfast was ok, there were classic foods and some local/greek speciality however it would have been great to have bigger variety from they to day. We would have preferred bigger fruit and vegetable selection. The wifi signal was a little bit weak in our room but on the contrary sometimes we could even reach it from the beach. The beach was only few 10 meters from the hotel where was a discount price for sunbeds and umbrella for the guests of the hotel. The staff on the beach could provide the guests foods and drinks from the hotel. The beach was great, the shore was sandy almost everywhere, the water was very clear, mostly sandy but there were also some rocky areas where bathing shoes recommended. Snorkling is also recommended around the near rocks where different fish and even - if you are lucky - turtle can be seen. The only thing we didn't like was the trash and cigarette butts in the sand around. TAKE CARE, there is a small "after-beach" showering place near to the entrance of the hotel where the water in the hose can be very hot under the sun. Do not pour on yourself especially on children without checking! There were aboundant restaurant and grocery opportunities in the nearby. To sum up, staying at Frini Hotel is absolutely recommended!

July 2023 Had a lovely 6 days stay at this family owned hotel by the 3 sweet sisters who make all possible to make each stay at their hotel pleasant! Hotel is right next to the sea, nice beach front with umbrellas and sunbeds and service provided from the hotel. 15-20 mins walk from city center. Rooms are a bit small but it doesn't really matter since we spent mostly our time out. Equipped with AC and small fridge nice bathroom with shower and a lovely terrace with beach view! Very clean with service each day providing extra touch as you'll see from photos. Giving smile to our kid! There isnt parking space owned by the hotel so that is something you need to deal. We didn't had difficulty to find... Don't take the car for short walks !! We fully recommend this place!

A simple hotel, but with a truly authentic soul and an unbeatable location right in front of a beautiful beach, offering a breathtaking sea view. The rooms are spotlessly clean and well cared for, but what really makes this place special is the hospitality: the ladies who run the hotel are incredibly kind and welcoming, far beyond expectations. The restaurant is a real hidden gem, it feels like eating at grandma’s house, with homemade dishes full of love and tradition. An experience that fully deserves 5 stars. I will definitely be back! Thank you Sophia, Ioanna and Maria

Another great stay at the Frini. This hotel is a friendly, family run establishment. The accommodation is basic which is reflected in its competitive pricing. I found it excellent value for money. The Frini is kept scrupulously clean by two domestic workers who work very hard and are friendly and engaging. It is run by three sisters who all speak English, German and Greek fluently. They are very friendly and helpful. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, which suited us as we enjoyed our walks to the old town to eat. Food at the Frini is excellent though; Fresh ingredients and good value.|This hotel is in a great location. Right on the ‘Nea Chora’ beachfront. So much better than being inland having to congregate around a little pool! At the Frini, I started each day with a swim in the sea before breakfast. Ideal!|The Old Town is a pleasant 10 minute walk along the coast. A bustling, vibrant Venetian harbour. The restaurants on the harbour front are expensive. We did frequent them on previous stays, but this time found much better value restaurants with a more authentic feel.|Two of our favourites were the ‘To Koutourouki’ and the ‘To Steno’. They get very busy with locals after 9pm, which seems like a good indication of their quality. Most of our party were vegetarian and there was a great choice and tasty food. A litre of house Red costs 8 euros.|The ‘Laganon’ for fresh pasta, Italian style was a great find. Another good value place, busy with locals. |We also really enjoyed the ‘Tamam’, which is closer to the harbour. It is more mid range pricing and very popular. Seating outside often requires pre-booking. Seats are more likely to be available inside.|Another great place for a more snack like meal is ‘Zachari & Alati’ for good sized fresh crepes; Savoury or sweet.|We love Chania and will...

Was steht im Vordergrund?
