Crete is an amazing holiday destination , with the lovely beaches and crystal clear water! We stayed at the Floral hotel, which was a very good choice. We arrived a couple of hours before check in time and they let us leave our luggage at the reception while we went to the beach ( which is at 5 min walk) ! While staying there we bought a huge inflatable flamingo for the pool and the owners were extremely lovely to let us keep it at the hotel ! When we got into our room, we were delighted to see the huge king sized bed which was very comfortable and the sheets felt super clean ! The room is equipped with a small fridge with freezer where you can store some of your food or water . There is also a hairdryer and a safe. Of course the most important thing is the air conditioning which works perfectly! The room and the bathroom were extremely clean and everyday made up with care ! The staff left us the first day a bottle of local white wine, a fruit plate and a post card with a cute message on it which felt very hospitable. Needless to say, our stay had been amazing!!! At night after dinner, Stefan was waiting for us with the latest updates on the World Cup , a glass of raki with a bunch of nuts and a good talk including attraction recommendations! Super friendly !! The breakfast was included in our booking and it was a continental buffet with everything you need to get your day started ! At the end of our trip, one of the owners shared with us some videos from his olive plantation from behind the hotel and then gifted us a bottle of his own pressed olive oil and a bottle of ice cold water for the road. Do not hesitate to ask at the reception any kind of information you need, from car rentals to places to see, restaurants to try and so on ! Now definitely the hotel is not the most modern one and it doesn’t have 5 Star facilities but the atmosphere is more important and that’s what matters ! Hats off for Floral hotel and the...

Hotel Floral's location is both a blessing and a curse. It's close to main attractions in Hersonissos but this also means it's exposed to street noise if you sleep with the windows open.
We stayed in room 106 and unfortunately guests from the hotel across the street can see everything in your room which is inconvenient because we had to stay with the blinds pulled a lot of the time ; this meant dark room and not really much frsh air (air conditioning is 5€ / day).
Also, during the night I would get woken up by guests coming back to the hotels, making noise in the street and also when entering the hotel.
Breakfast does not change and it somewhat disappointing meaning the butter is mostly margarine, the OJ is not real OJ. However the feta cheese is very tasty , the vegetables (cucumbers and tomatoes and olives) are also very tasty . The bread was really good and the honey also delicious.
The room was very clean, cleaning lady came in daily, staff was super nice and friendly and even gave us a gift at departure.
Parking is rather limited and if stefanos (night shift receptioner) doesn't save you a spot you will have some trouble in some nights finding a spot.
This being said, if you're not a light sleeper and don't really care about privacy or food then Hotel Floral is an amazing choice!
Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend.

Read moreWe had a wonderful stay here.
We arrived on July 21 and left on July 28. When we arrived they were very welcoming and open-hearted, we were early before the rooms were ready.
We had some shots and cocktails with the staff and chatted with them. We understood that it is a family hotel and that the father and daughter both worked here. The rooms were also super clean and it was just a very nice hotel. The owner told us that he had done his best to get all 5 rooms we booked on the top floor next to each other. You can come in very late at night which was not a problem but we had to be quiet. Our group of 10 people usually came to the hotel in different groups from 2 am to 7 am. When you leave you can leave your key at the front desk where someone will take care of you and your key 24 hours a day.
At the end the owner told us a story about how he makes his own olive oil and raki after the holidays and in November they have a big party every year. He even gave us all 1x 100ml raki or 1x 100ml olive oil per person. He makes this himself and it is very pure. When we checked out at noon, we could use the pool until our cab arrived at 4 in the afternoon.
Our stay was very nice and pleasant and we recommend it...
