I truly wish this review could be different, but our evening here left us deeply disappointed and frustrated. We had come with genuine excitement, hoping for a warm, flavorful, and memorable meal â something that reflected the charm and tradition the restaurant seemed to promise. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most underwhelming dining experiences weâve had in a long time.
The food â the heart of any restaurant â was simply unacceptable. My steak was not only undercooked but arrived cold, as if it had been left waiting far too long before making it to our table. The moussaka, a dish I was especially looking forward to, was bland and forgettable. It lacked the comforting layers of flavor that make it a classic; instead, it tasted like a rushed afterthought.
Service, which can sometimes make up for kitchen errors, only deepened our disappointment. Staff seemed disengaged, inattentive, and lacking even basic hospitality. No one checked in on us, no one noticed our untouched plates, and our drinks â which couldâve been a small consolation â were far too strong and poorly balanced. Not a hint of care, just an impression of going through the motions.
To make matters worse, we were seated in an unfortunate spot right in front of constant foot traffic â a stream of noisy tourists brushing past, making it feel more like a waiting area than a dining space. There was no sense of ambiance or comfort.
We left feeling not just unsatisfied, but disheartened. When you dine out, especially when spending good money and looking forward to a cultural experience, you hope to feel welcomed, nourished, and appreciated. Sadly, we felt none of that here.

My biggest issue was the falafel platter which was advertised with guacamole dip. The food didnât come with a guacamole dip and when it was mentioned to the waitresses with blondish hair, blue mascara and a bright pink lipstick she rolled her eyes and stated the guacamole dip was inside the falafel. First of all, falafel doesnât have a guacamole inside. Second of all, if the guacamole is inside the falafel then why advertise it as a dip? Itâs not a dip then if itâs inside the falafel. A dip is something you scoop your meal with. You donât need to know English to know what a dip is. I tried explaining it to this waitress but she rolled her eyes and had nothing to say in response nor apology for the false advertising. Usually when having a meal with falafel, you need a dip as itâs dry without it. ESPECIALLY if you advertise the meal as coming with a dip. She also mentioned that food came as pictured and yes thatâs true but then why state the meal comes with a dip when it doesnât? Youâre misleading your customers and try find loop holes to catch them out. I think the people here need to learn what a dip is. The restaurant in general was alright, beautiful view and ambiente. Here's the catch. Read carefully:
As we (girlfriend and i) finished our meal, one of the waiter handed us a card from tripadvisor with a barcode on it. He begged us to write a review, if we liked the restaurant. I wanted to put it into my wallet to write the review later on.
The waiter was standing right behind us saying that we should write a 5* review, mention and praise his boss mr. Costa (which we never actually got to meet). He was super invasive and stood at the table the whole time. My girl didn't have a google account, so it wouldn't work to submit the review. He then continued "try again, try again".
Her and i lost it, then asked for the bill immediately!
Such behaviour is scandalous, inappropriate and simply disrespectful! Do something about this employee, fire him, otherwise you'll loose your customers with...
