Absolutely Loved Karavi! One of the Best Meals We Had in Crete!

We stumbled upon Karavi while exploring the coast of Limenas Hersonissou—and what a gem! Perched right on the water, this charming café-bar-restaurant offers stunning views of the sea and a chilled-out vibe that made for the perfect lunch spot. You can literally hear the waves crashing just a few feet from your table.

The food? Surprisingly high quality for how reasonably priced it is. We ordered four adult meals and one kids’ meal, plus three beers and two sparkling waters, and the total came to only 118 euros. In a beachside setting like this, that’s almost unheard of!

From fresh, well-built sandwiches to crispy golden fries, everything was delicious and plated with care. The club sandwich with thick-cut chips was a standout. The setting alone could justify a visit, but the friendly and attentive staff really made it special. They made us feel welcomed and relaxed the whole time.

Whether you’re here for a casual bite or to soak in the Aegean breeze with a drink in hand, Karavi is a must-visit coastal hangout in Crete. We’ll absolutely be back!

We stumbled across this restaurant last year and absolutely LOVED the view and relaxing atmosphere. When we returned to Crete this year, we recognized it on our walk and immediately went in.The staff was so friendly and professional and the food was just as amazing as the view. Whether you want a romantic night or a relaxing meal with friends, this place is perfect.
