Pella Taverna — Restaurant in Municipality of Chersonissos

Nice location and sea views, however food is unseasoned and presented rather badly. We had calamari , chicken suvlaki, saganaki cheese and greek salad. Fairly run of the mill stuff, no special request or off menu items. Everything seemed bland and totaly tasteles. No salts or pepper nor herbs even the salad was dry and unsalted. Chicken was just plonked on the plate next to some fried potatoes, no garnish or any dips? We already had breakfast here previous and it was ok. Although no toast was served with full English? i was hoping that lunch would be better. Service is also so very slow, young ladies working there are totally unatentive and pretty much avoid any eye contact with customers. There was no satisfaction check or drinks refill offer. No one cleared the table or offered dessert..... so we paid the bill and left. All in all not great. Which is a pity, as the place looks...

Lovely family-run accommodation and tavern, with a convenient market attached. The staff are wonderfully friendly and feel like family after a day or two. The accommodations are minimally furnished, but comfortable enough and very clean, and hopefully you and your family will not be spending time in the room, but on the wonderful sandy beaches a short distance away. Pella offers a swimming pool and plenty of room to lounge in the sun, or take a walk down the seafront. The Pella taverna is a great Greek eatery opening onto a sea view. The food is wonderful! It's easy to stay there until late at night, even with children, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere. The town of Kato Gouves feels very safe and family-oriented, so you get a feeling of security. We went there once only for a coffee and everything went well. We went a second time to have a lunch and we got totally disappointed: I ordered spaghetti with chicken&mushrooms, and after I waited for around 30 min, the lady came to tell me that it is taking long because they have to fry first the chicken and then start cooking the spaghetti 🤣🤣 then finally after another 20 min, I got the spaghetti (see the pic) I didn't like the taste of the chicken at all. Then we asked for the bill, and the waiting restarted 😐 at the end I took my kid with me and left the place and my husband waited for another 10 min to pay the bill. 😬 I will definitely not miss this place and for sure will...
