I take no joy in writing negative reviews about businesses. However, when I am swindled out of hundreds of dollars, I believe I must let other people be aware of my experience. We had a booking at this hotel August 6-8, 2024. I arrived and left the hotel within two hours. Upon arrival, the check-in process was chaotic. There was only one person working at the reception and it was a lot of traffic for one hotel. I witnessed the receptionist charge people for air conditioning, kettle usage etc. I have never experienced this before. We were brought to our room and it was very disappointing. It was dated (which is okay), and not that clean (see pictures of crusty TV remote, ants in room, spider webs on windows etc). The room was hot. The receptionist told me she would return in five minutes to turn on the Ac because they have to turn it on with a key! We waited an hour in the heat. There were other guests enjoying the pool and we could hear them despite closed windows and doors (AC was on at this point). We asked for a room upgrade. We offered to pay. There was no other rooms available. We are business owners so we tried to offer four different solutions to the receptionist but all were rejected. We were told we could not get refunded because the owner who had final say was on vacation, then we were told the accounting department was closed for the day. It was essentially terrible service due to poor management. If you are going to have a single person doing the work, you need to give them some discretion to make decisions. We had the all inclusive package but it was very restrictive in times to consume and items to consume. Too many rules for me. It is either all inclusive or it isnt. Cannot comment on the food as I had none. We were not allowed to check out as we left before the official check out date. This is unheard of to me. No receipts issued, no proof probably to cover themselves and not provide any sort of refund. They kept telling us it is our choice to leave and it was but why can I not have an invoice as proof? We have yet to hear from them in any way but it is fine. That is all you need to know. A business's worth is shown in how it treats clients when there is an issue. The pools looked nice and the location was good. But if a hotel offers bad service and mediocre policies, you...

Not what you would expect a 4 star hotel to be like. First of all, the apartment felt like it was just refurbished as it had piles of construction dust in the corner. Walls were empty, old furniture, no bathroom shelves, no shower curtain, no power sockets by the bed. It also smelled like chlorine and bleach so we had to keep the windows open and there was no mosquito mesh. There was also no sound isolation whatsoever so if you’re a light sleeper, you’ll have trouble sleeping as some mornings hotel workers started construction work as early as 7am. There were also no “do not disturb” signs so if you didn’t want your room cleaned you had no choice. The good thing was that apartment was very spacious and had a private balcony with a nice view.

Another thing worth mentioning was the dining area. The food wasn’t bad, but there were so many strange made-up rules that made us feel constantly tense. It felt more like an army than a holiday retreat. Also when half-board, you can’t get any drinks or even water with your dinner, only at breakfast. Not a huge loss tho, as all the drinks tasted like chlorine and the coffee was just terrible!

However the worst thing was that you could feel and see how tense and stressed all the staff was. There was this one manager who was just walking around and watching everybody work, pointing to an empty dishes and bossing everyone around even though all the staff was working so hard and were so nice and friendly. We hated that our plates were taken away with the last bite, basically while we were still chewing our food but it felt like the staff was pressured to do so by the manager so we didn’t say anything.

Overall it was okay for a price we paid as we got a cheap last-minute vacation and we didn’t spend much time in the hotel area anyway, but I would rather choose something different next time. Also, it’s a 4 star hotel, so keep in mind that you’ll have to pay additional 7€ tax per night that becomes a whole 49€ a week.

Good things: beautiful surroundings, stunning plants, food variety, tasty ice-cream, friendly staff, good location, nice view, cute cats, quiet in...

Not 4 star.good low level appartments.not a hotel as 4 star would suggest.tiny rooms.4 folk living in such a small room is horrendous..food buffet type not bad.cleaning good reception good pools good.location good let's itself down with zero entertainment for the adults and the 2 pools not 3 are not large however the low-level large pool was great.could not have stayed here with a family of 4.3 of us managed at a stretch.managemrnt alright.owner needs to understand that not all customers are used to booking 4 stars and receiving a 3 star room.even 2 star.i don't want to criticise too much but I hope they read this and take on board there are much better around them and next time in malia stalls area we will be booking a proper 4 star Hotel. Regarding the terrible covid incident that you said you would talk too me in 48 hours.never did you and I would have told you what I'm writing here.plus when I said give me all inclusive as compensation you lost the plot we don't drink alcohol.5 choices that you offer.1 beer and 1 wine 3 local spirits that would have been shocking at 480 euro.all I wanted was post mix coca cola.could not understand at half board why I was ushered away from the bar too buy real bottles of cola at 2 euro you only wanted to sell post mix rubbish.dont let yourselves down doing that it's tacky.apert from all that I said.negative the positives I pointed out deflected the 1 member of staff that harassed us.plus covid could of shut you down.i was being helpful telling you.you went on that you never had a complaint.well on passing reception and talking to others 6 or 7 complaints were lodged so please we love cretean people.pull your socks up.owner.for...
