Mezes Garden Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Chersonissos

A beautiful restaurant full of flavour and joy that I would recommend to anyone visiting.

Myself and my girlfriend decided to try Mezes Garden Restaurant on the final day of our holiday in Mali. I particularly wanted to try the seafood and see the various other dishes too that were available. They did not disappoint at all. Each dish came with a very generous portion, leaving us extremely full which is exactly what you’d want! The food itself is beautifully cooked, with plenty of options for all different food types. I myself tried the Mixed Fish Dish for 1, while my girlfriend tried the Gyros. Both of which were equally amazing. (See images attached below) They are priced well, I almost felt as though I should be paying more considering the quality of the food. We visited Mezes in May 2024. We were staying at a nearby Hotel for 5 days. We stopped at Mezes for lunch on our first day and we were BLOWN away! We ended up eating at Mezes every single day we were in Crete. Everything was so fresh from the seafood to the vegetables grown in their garden. The Seafood Pasta was a favourite of ours, I actually had it 2 days in a row it was so good!! We also really enjoyed the Greek Salad and the Seafood Risotto. The service was exceptional each time we visited the restaurant. The manager of Mezes gave us the warmest greeting every time we came in, even if he was eating dinner with his own family. The rest of the team was phenomenal, offering menu suggestions and tastings of Greek Liqours after each meal. Using bandit tips when asking at the booking of the main dishes risoto from the sea is taking 20 minutes because it is fresh made at the minute. When ordering we explicit mentioned no cheese usually there is never cheese but in foreign country sometimes they feel masterchef an add cheese. Clearly mentioned if there was cheese would be rejected. after starter and a while time came with one main dish for me and telling for my wife risotto sea food has cheese and has to choose something different so finaly seems risotto is not so fresh made at the moment en we were obliged to eat in two shifts. No effort has been done so for us first time and last time in this thief restaurant.
