Kalispera — Restaurant in Municipality of Chersonissos

In fact, I had been vacationing here in Malia, Greece close to two months and my initial desire was staying at a very comfortable hotel that had most of the basic amenities and most especially a good restaurant without having to look around when there is a need to get a bite. I found one, notwithstanding there was from time to time the urge to try other local restaurants to see what they had to offer. This I did many times but was quite disappointed at every instance until quite recently. Kalispera actually came to the rescue. In acual facts, way beyond expectations. Besides the fantastic menus, the restaurant offered a very clean and impressive atmosphere with all the nice details in terms of decorations of the entire restaurant. Talking about the host, she was warming and very helpful in terms of given well detailed explanation of items on the menus. She was very candid to my utmost surprise. All these good things do not count if the food were not any good. Lo and behold, I will confess, that what I and my partner chose on the menu had been the best we ever had of such. Tasty and well prepared beyond expectations. Prices were fantastic for the quality of what you get in terms of the food, atmosphere and the hospitality. Definitely sold on this restaurant and truly recommend it to anyone planning a visit to this area of Crete, Greece. Not good atmosphere, everyone is stressful, running like headless chickens. Service bad , madam with blond hair even didn't found it important to serve plates in front of each client, she just put plates randomly on table. That blond madam even didn't give time to choose a dish because the dish i wanted could not be served , she just put pressure to choose fast. The menu is for everybody. There is food for Greek lovers and for tourists who don't. The prices are spot on for the quality and quantity you get. Christina is the owner and just a joy. Costas, her husband, is a typical Greek, so charming. The cook is a delightfull older man who has got it in the kitchen.
