We stayed at the Imperial Belvedere for 11 nights

All in all I can recommend it. There’s many activities, the hotel area is big, there’s shops, a shuttle service, the staff are friendly and the food supply endless. Here’s a more detailed look:

Pros: The view is fantastic. Because of the terraced layout of the hotel, you get amazing sea views on every level. The outdoor area is big and gets cleaned every night. There were many free loungers everywhere and area is well maintained.

Foods and drinks are plenty and offer a large variety basically around the clock. Alcoholic drinks are also included, but check the menu first since not every cocktail is included (see photos). The food was nice with plenty of different things to try. Of course this is no 5 star hotel and all inclusive food isn’t the best of the best, but still it was all tasty and you never stayed hungry.

The entertainment team is fantastic. The shows every evening are great and offer a variety of interesting experiences. Hats off to them for going above and beyond every day.

There’s a free shuttle service to and from the beach which goes there a couple of times per day. The beach isn’t all that great though, I’d suggest renting a car for more flexibility. Rent it online way in advance when you book. There’s a good rental service directly in front of the hotel (Motor Plan) which we used and which is cheaper to than the one in the hotel.

The rooms are spacious and are all equipped with an AC unit you can control yourself. The beds are comfortable and surface cleaning is done every day, the bed sheets are only switched after your stay.

Parking is free on the hotel lot and we used it quite frequently. You can also drive around the entire complex and park your car closer to your room.

The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Many of them remember you and are always happy to see you.

Cons: Our superior double room had no sea view even though we specifically booked it because of that. There was a big tree in front of it that took all the view. Because of we basically never stayed on the balcony because the view was ruined.

The doors to the rooms are poorly soundproofed so you can hear it at night whenever someone is walking by or talking in the long hallways.

The pools are not heated. When you come during September/October it’s almost to cold to spend time in them as they had a temperature of 22-24 degrees with air temperatures ranging from 24-28 degrees. The sea was a bit warmer than the pools.

The hotel is on a hill, walking up gets tiresome.

Noteworthy: Not every restaurant is accessible with all-inclusive bands. There are two main buffet restaurants and which one you’re supposed to go to is based on the color of the bands. This isn’t an inconvenience, since the food is identical, it’s just a thing to note and get used to when finding out were you can dine.

The booking for the reservation for the à la carte restaurants did not work sadly so we couldn’t visit it during our stay.

The restaurant staff are very meticulous when it comes to the opening and closing procedure. The food gets wrapped and rolled away at the exact minute of closing. Please not that when you want to eat and are somewhat late to breakfast for example.

We also didn’t like the way the Tortoises are displayed at the entrance. They are all together crammed into a tiny small cage without food and without shelter. The males and females aren’t separated which causes a lot of stress on the females from the constant attempts on them and causes the males to clash with one another. We too have the exact species as pets at home and the way they are treated here hurts. What bothers me is that there is a big enclosure at the entrance next to the reception area which is built properly and is also used for them yet some of them are still cramped into the cage next to the walkway up to the hotel

Other than in the restaurants, you will have to get paper cups and paper plates when eating and drinking, if this is a concern to you.

All in all I’d say...

So, I love a good honest review — and I promise to be as impartial as a judge at a bake-off. This resort is rated 4, not 5, so I’ll break it down as fairly as possible: where they hit the brief, where they exceeded expectations, and where things got a bit… character-building.

⸻

🌞 The Pros

First of all, the place is massive. Like, bring-a-map-and-a-snack massive. But that’s actually a win — it means endless amenities, pools, bars, and restaurants to explore. You’ll feel a bit like you’re on a mini cruise ship that happens to be perched on a hill.

The variety of pools deserves a standing ovation: family ones for the splashy chaos, and the “boujee” pools where you can sip something (overly sweet) and pretend you’re in a music video. There’s even an indoor heated pool for the more temperature-sensitive babies — or adults who just don’t want to deal with cold water. Oh, and at least one pool is saltwater — my hair literally thanked them with beach curls.

A major gold star for pool etiquette: no dawn raids to reserve sunbeds with towels. It’s civilised here. There are enough loungers to go around, and the larger ones by the family pool were a godsend with a baby in tow — and free! (Take note, other resorts.)

Now, food. Two buffet restaurants serving the same menu rotations — but before you groan, hear me out. The quality is surprisingly excellent. Flavourful, fresh, and beautifully presented. Good coffee, decent wine and beer, and the cocktails… well, you might need a dentist afterwards. Special mention to the Sakura Japanese restaurant — we had sushi, duck, and sweet and sour chicken that honestly didn’t taste like “all-inclusive” food.

But the real stars are the staff. Every single one we met radiated warmth and genuine kindness — particularly the Dedalos buffet team (11–15 Oct stay). They’re the reason I’d come back. Five stars just for them.

Bonus perk: the resort’s on a hill. Translation — your step count will be through the roof, and you can skip leg day guilt-free.

⸻

⚡️ The Cons

Now for the quirks. The layout is… an enigma. With a buggy, it took us a few days to figure out which ramps led where. Each day felt like unlocking a new level in a video game called “Find the Lift Before the Baby Wakes.” A clearer accessibility map would save everyone some stair-related cardio.

The mini golf and play area are also stair-only — not ideal for prams or tired parents.

Room amenities were fairly basic — more “functional” than “fancy.” No coffee machine, cotton buds, or shoe polishers (a 4* tragedy). On the plus side, they do stock the room with two 1L water bottles and offer a nice turndown service, which feels rather grown-up.

Entertainment was… mixed. The activity team clearly works non-stop, so credit where it’s due. But some evening shows felt a bit meh, geared more toward kids. (Fire show = exception. Genuinely fantastic.)

Activities like rifle shooting and table tennis were popular — too popular — so there was a fair bit of waiting around for turns. The yoga session was lovely but awkwardly located on the main stage, so it felt like you were auditioning for “Greece’s Got Balance.” I personally managed to zen out, but it’s not for the shy.

We peeked into the spa, but €200 per person for a couples massage made us quietly back away and return to our free saltwater therapy pool.

⸻

🌺 Verdict

Overall, this is a wonderful resort for families or anyone craving a relaxing, sun-soaked break without needing to stress about meals or space. The service shines, the food’s great, and the vibe is genuinely warm.

Yes, it has its quirks, but we’d come back in a heartbeat — preferably after memorising the ramp routes and budgeting slightly less for car hire and more...

Our holiday started 30th of septymber and we started for a week with our 3 month old baby . We booked double room with garden view and we got room in the second building far away from pools and restaurants, the room decoration was from 90’s and was nothing like on the pictures on the webside. Straight away we went to reception and asked for room closer to facilities and they switched our rooms for something better which was closer to the pictures on website. Hotel has two lifts next to the reception and one of them broke down on our second day, we were very struggling with our pushchair because because were using lift instead of stairs and we couldn’t get into lift as lift fits only up to four people and hotel has only six flours. We complained in reception about a lift and they said they going to fix it ASAP and they did the same day. We had all inclusive board, which doesn’t included everything, for example only seven cocktails in the bar, when I asked for pina colada with local rum and coconut liquor they didn’t make me one, they did separately but in other bar, they waiter said is forbidden to make that one because I need to pay and he gave me everything separately and I mixed by myself. I did very good research about this hotel and all facilities. I found out that they have very good reviews about food, but I was disappointed with that what I founded. Pour quality of breakfast for example scramble eggs were mixed with something and were tasteless. At the lunch there was no food selection usually leftovers from Dinner day before. Dinner was Very nice , every day was a special dish usually meat and fish or just a meat, next to the oven where the chef was cooking, but when you are late an hour if you lucky you can get something but if you not well…that’s on you, because the good things is going first and the staff answer is that’s is finished and they can not make anymore. Sometimes if they have more food at the back you have to wait forever when they restock, because this hotel is usually full and is very busy all the time. I will just add that dinner is from 7-9:30 p.m They have Greek style restaurant which is only booked by reservation, we had to book table at the reception four days before because they were busy and we thought that they going to have traditional Greek food. Once again we were disappointed, when we went to the restaurant we couldn’t choose what to order. At the started we had Greek salad with breadsticks and some pesto’s, house wine and soft drinks. For main course we had leftovers from buffet restaurant like sausages, burgers, chicken, beef and little lamb served on the plate with wages and veggies. For the dessert we had 2 scoops of ice cream from snack bar with baklava also served in buffet restaurant. Hotel has two buildings and they have two restaurant one in each building. When you are on the main building you have black wristband and second building you have blue. You can’t use restaurant in second building if you have a room in first building and vice Versa. We tried to go to the other restaurant and waiter asked nicely to leave the restaurant and go to the other one. Usually we were staying in childrens pool but we couldn’t swim with our baby because the water in the pool was cold and has around 25C. Thanks to Viola from bar next to the snack bar in the childrens pool for her service, she was always nice, smiling to everyone and helpful. Snack bar Dimitra next to the children pool was stocked noce in the morning from 10 and after 1pm, when I went for fruits at 2:30 pm there was none fruits anymore and When I asked to restocked the waiter said is no more. The funny thing is that the snack bar is open from 10-12:30 and from 1:00...

This is not a 4 star hotel. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday, this is not the hotel to book. Upon arriving at our hotel, after travelling all day, we were told that the hotel was over booked and we were being sent to an alternative hotel for one night which was “5 minutes away”. It was 20 minutes away. We were told we would be collected at 11am the next morning. Our journey to the alternative hotel was awful, with an extremely abrasive and rude taxi driver. So, not the best start to our holiday. The alternative hotel however, was beautiful, and most definitely worthy of their 4 star rating. The next morning we went and checked out for 11am, as Royal Belvedere told us we would be collected at 11am. We were then informed that we were not being collected until 12pm after checking out, and had no access to all inclusive facilities, despite paying for this. We were told multiple times 11am was the time we would be picked up by both hotels, so this was obviously something that our hotel chose not to communicate to us. This meant that we had spent a day and a half of our holiday travelling, not able to enjoy the facilities we had paid for, or settle in to our hotel. When arriving back at the Royal Belvedere, our room was still not ready. We were upgraded to premium all inclusive rather than standard, but the only real difference was the selection of drinks you have access to and the restaurants on site you can go to. Our room was modern, but not that clean. The robes were not cleaned or changed, as they had makeup stains and smelt from the previous guests. These were replaced when left with used towels. In addition, the rooms were not sound proofed. Doors were slammed repeatedly in to late at night, other guests knocking on doors, as well as all conversation occurring in the corridor being heard from rooms. The worst part of this hotel is the sunbeds. I cannot even imagine what it was like when it was “over booked”. It is impossible to get a sunbed relatively close to a pool unless you get up at the crack of dawn, which is not what I would consider part of a relaxing holiday. I would like to note, that we went down every day of the holiday at least an hour before the pool even opened, if not earlier, and still could not get a sunbed. All pool areas are loud, with sunbeds being very cramped together. We spent most of our time on a terrace near the side entrance to the hotel, not near a pool or bar. We spoke about the sunbed situation with staff, we were told directly that this is a repetitive issue and they said “we (the hotel) have tried to remove towels every 20 minutes, but there is no point. It will be like this every day you are here” which, quite frankly was not reassuring and quite disappointing. There was also a lack of umbrellas, therefore limited access to shade. We did manage to find 2 sunbeds around a pool an hour before the pool actually opened, we couldn’t believe our luck. However, after sitting on them, we realised the only reason they were available was because they were broken. We then discovered that there is also a pile of broken sunbeds next to the pool area. We decided to go to the quieter terrace we had been on previously, but there was 4 umbrellas for 40 sunbeds. We asked reception if we could get an umbrella from anywhere else, as many were not being used around the pool and we were told that this was not possible. The gyros bar was good, however the other food provided was not great. I had a chicken skewer which when I bit into was pink and raw (I have inserted picture). Please take advice and do not book this hotel, it is not worth the expense. I cannot express how frustrating and disappointing our stay has been.

(Take note, other resorts.) Now, food. ⸻ ⚡️ The Cons Now for the quirks. Genuinely fantastic.) Activities like rifle shooting and table tennis were popular — too popular — so there was a fair bit of waiting around for turns. ⸻ 🌺 Verdict Overall, this is a wonderful resort for families or anyone craving a relaxing, sun-soaked break without needing to stress about meals or space. The service shines, the food’s great, and the vibe is genuinely warm. Yes, it has its quirks, but we’d come back in a heartbeat — preferably after memorising the ramp routes and budgeting slightly less for car hire and more for massages.
